I've been to CTG and other places there and have been watching videos over a year so I'm knowledgeable about the country. I do not stay in the barrios so your experience is different from mine. What I've done is made contacts and friends to bypass paying the gringo prices ( not always ) to negotiate lower prices. Seeing a vlog from a different view is the city is good. Thanks for sharing

I honestly have to say all the times I have been to Cartagena I stay in the Barrios not in the Tourist areas. For me being among the locals gives me what I'm in Colombia for to know the people and culture. I also feel safer there as the criminals are usually targeting tourists in the tourist areas not near their homes. No Gringo prices in the local restaurants and stores of the barrios either. Just my 2 cents worth.

It appears to me that you’ve been in Columbia for a couple of months. I’m just wondering why you went there of all places in the world?! Colombia... and there's nothing wrong with visiting the country. Many foreigners from around the world visit and live there. His video is showing a different perspective of the city many do not know about. It's the same as someone going to New York and showing the bad parts of the city.

I have stayed in $12 per a night hotel in Cartagena with a clean and beautiful room and hot water in a decent neighborhood completely walkable at night. But honestly, I don't mind a cold shower when it's so hot everyday it's nice to get cooled off.
