My friends listen to pop and rock music, they don't understand why i listen to country music :( but i am proud of my musical preference! country singers have the biggest souls and hearts, they write lyrics that warm our hearts and make us think. When people ask me "why country?" i will be sure to send them here because it's artists like this that make me fall in love with this genre over and over again, whenever i hear them sing! such an inspirational band, with such amazing voices. Thank you

Beautiful song. Beautiful voices. Beautiful girls. Pay no attention to the negative comments. You girls are amazing, and this video sheds light on extremely important issues. I have been listening to your music for years now, and following your career because I myself am a singer/songwriter and your music inspires me. Thank you for all that you do. Carter's Chord just keeps getting better and better!

People no longer have many opportunities to improve themselves and provide a better life for their children than they had. Social mobility is the ability to improve yourself. Today Americans enjoy less economic mobility than their peers in Canada and much of Western Europe. The fact that our wealthy nation has so much poverty is a failing of our society, our government, and our economy. It is not something to blame on any individual; it is a flaw in the system.

Only 10,504 views and 21 comments?! Rihanna's Songs have 125,000,00 views ans she speaks about sex all the time! Let's make this band FAMOUS because they DESERVE IT !!!! This song is absolutely wonderful and touching !

sometimes stepping into someone else's shoes is not necessary... I kinda agree with Lee on this.... USA got all the resources to improve one's life.. It's just a matter of seeing those opportunity and grasping it... Why do you think every citizen around the world has their own American Dream? It's because they saw the opportunity... Even non-English speaking citizens will do whatever it takes to get into the USA. As they say "Our choices is the architect of our future". We always have a choice!

Clearly I'm not being selfish, more like opinionated. If we have so many resources, then why is it still a problem in the U.S? Don't bitch out and say b/c people aren't trying hard enough, etc. It's a problem here, it's a huge problem. I've seen way too many people struggle and I've given a lot of money to the homeless here in the U.S. So I still stand by what I said; help yourself first, so you can be in a position to help others.

Well, aren't you nice! Yes.. Starships is a good song but that doesn't mean you have to put others music down! That's your opinion so it will be respected.. I actually like this song, really nice to listen to when working in English or just want down time!! so thumbs up :) But this does kinda sounds like our New Zealand song. by Jamie McDell - 'You'll Never Take That Away'

It's because the southern hemisphere is in poverty, and (No offence to anyone and this isn't racist) they normally have darker skin. I could also be linked to Ethiopia, because they were struck by famine pretty badly and quite alot of them have dark skin. As I said, I don't mean to offend anyone or/and be racist :)

@MikSev What about the poor here in America? They don't have to go far, they're everywhere. This is what pisses me off. No one wants to help America, yet America tries to help everyone else. It's BS. Can't help others if you can't help yourself. I care about world hunger but take care of that in America first rather than in other countries. Americans are so eager to help others than themselves. Sadness.

The DR is a combination of many races and cultures, primarily Hispanic and African. If they were doing a video in India you figure there would be Indian kids in it. Poverty is colorblind and it should not matter what race they are.....they need help.

Shorry to say, but I'd rather not be selfish.. justt sayinn. We already have a lot more than other countries.. I agree maybe a little more focus on america would be good.. but i'd rather be the one to starve then let a kid in another country.

Id disagree, the majority Ive come across have some sort of mental illness that would severely hinder them from helping themselves toward "a better life" I understand what you are saying, and you have good intentions, but generalizations like that can be hurtful
