In this video I go back to my roots and try playing Fortnite with No Claw & No Paddles! I've been a paddles player in Fortnite for over 4 years, but I wanted to get a feel for how the majority of controller players play the game, so I ditched them. First I had to find the BEST no claw no paddles setup, which includes the controller itself, optimized binds, and the best settings. After I had that figured out, I began practicing and practicing. By the end of the video, I got pretty good on it! Doing things like piece control, triple edits, getting elims, and MAYBE even winning a game?! Enjoy!

Anyone who is playing on reg controllers, let me tell you rn, paddle controllers are definitely worth taking the time to learn. I switched to paddles on Christmas, it took some practice, but my game has drastically changed for the better. I have jump on left paddle and build on right paddle, i use L3 for edit, R3 for reset i use the big middlepad to sprint. Being able to build without taking my thumb off R3 makes all the difference, its so much more effective to hit with the pump then build immediately, also being able to jump while both thumbs are on the sticks is nice too. Paddles do take time and practice, but when you get it down, its absolutely worth it

I made the switch a few years back and fully agree it's worth the small amount of time to DRASTICALLY increase your performance. Also I am pretty much incapable of playing even half as well on a regular controller no paddles lol I feel like it's my first week learning to play all over again if I don't have paddles 🤣

Love you settings. I haven't gotten to use them yet. Because Fortnite thinks they're the o. G settings, but they're not. It won't let me edit. Just goes to my map when I try. Editing, I really did every single Bind. It's still does that so I don't know. Can someone give me a little guide on how to not screw app my settings? But thank you Carter for the setting. I've heard they're amazing. But I'm just not able to use them. Because I don't know how to do my settings.

I don’t use the touch pad for editing but I use the L stick (some people say it messes up your movement but I’d say otherwise) but everything else I use the same as this videos binds only other thing is the crouch and jump (yea I do take my thumb off the right stick to jump and no I don’t have problems doing this) but I would like to use r stick to jump only problem is I crouch a lot in fights to headshot kinda so my question is how if I was to use the right button depad to crouch but not take my hand off left stick the only way I could do that is if I have l stick down and I’m walking forward so what’s the point in that button for crouching yeno

@@echoquantum yeh I’ve been having some issues editing down in a cone and floor like if I edit a single square in the cone and floor the second time I edited going into the floor it kinda gets delayed so I have to press edit again so 3 times I press edit to edit down it’s kinda annoying ( I’m hoping it’s just the delay on a ps4 because I’m getting a 5 soon) Do u get problems like this ?

@@LanaxSZN idk if you have your ps5 yet, but ps5 on 120 fps and a lower ping should help with that. Double and triple edits on ps4 are definitely far less consistent

I play with no claw no paddles but i am going to buy paddles for my dualshock 4 soon. Here are my binds with no claw no paddle and im pretty decent at the game. My edits are good( not as good as carters... hes been playing controller for 5 years and me for half a year) but im still very decent and hoping to get better. Here are my binds below. Click *_READ MORE_* to see my binds I edit by clicking right thumbstick I reset builds by clicking right thumbstick to edit and clicking L2 to reset and confirm with right thumbstick. I use touchpad to slide, repair, crouch I use right dpad for map Clicking left stick sprints Down dpad is emote, augment select I use left dpad to ping but i might change it to smth else Top dpad i use it for opening inv X to jump Triangle pickaxe Square pickup/interact O to Switch Mode

Since I have 4 back buttons, I use my ring fingers and middle fingers to press those, then my index fingers to press all of my bumpers & triggers. When I tried claw I did use my middle fingers for triggers and index fingers for bumpers though
