A tip for after decluttering: if you have so many clothes you're forgetting what you have, take a break from shopping and you'll relearn to love what you have/realise you don't need so much! Saves money and is more sustainable 😊

That was exactly my point in the video that I mentioned 😊 Especially before a big change of season, take all your clothes out to re-learn what you have before shopping! I am lucky to not be in that situation of "forgetting what I have" since I have a relatively small closet (what you see is what I got for clothes) but even for me as someone who isn't a big clothing shopper, it was great to see which items I reach for most/also forgotten about!

The five second rule for if you want to keep an item before talking yourself into keeping it... when shopping, if its not an immediate yes, talk yourself out of buying it. That's a habit I accomplished before it even lands in my home.

you should do a 6 month no clothes buying spree unless absolutely necessary and you've thrown away 3 items first

I think for some those can be great but if you keep up with my videos you know I don't buy alot of clothes to begin with! I have a very healthy relationship with my finances and think those challenges can sometimes do more harm than good! I'd rather be intentional with the clothing I bring home than restrict myself! But I know for some buying clothes is a big downfall! I've just never been a big clothing shopper (I pretty much just buy what I need) so I don't feel the need to do so!
