This had a rare ending. Normally episodes ended w/ a big smile from Diana- WW. But you could see the worry/ concern on Diana's face with the realization Skip might have just relearned her Secret.

Yes I thought I was tge only one that caught that almost always she's smiling at the end I like they left this one open more realistic meaning there isn't always a happy ending even if you are a super hero this one and tge man who could not die both left something unresolved

Good, back to challenges worthy of WW's powers. Didn't understand Tarzan's fight tactics, though -- @21:29 & again (less clear) 21:38, he has her on the ground only to yank her back up to her feet where she has the advantage. Alien chivalry? Good ending, how she accepts Skip knowing her secret. She eventually had to trust someone, & he's a good kid.

With "Crisis On Infinite Earths" coming to the CW TV shows and Lynda Carter having been involved with those already and confirmed to at least be in the story in an unconfirmed role, there are a lot of people hoping this version of Wonder Woman comes back. The fact the Flash from the 1990 TV series appeared in the current Flash show is a good sign, I think. Kevin Conroy(Batman the Animated Series) will be playing an elderly "Batman Beyond" Bruce Wayne, and Burt Ward in a yet-unknown part, they're at least going for a lot of things fans will like with the event.

Aliens: Note To self, use more superglue before sending the ship into an atmosphere again, as the Phantom Zone Pod broke into a 100 pieces and its only through dumb luck and some weird psychic retrieval force we were able to hijack people and get them to do our bidding to rebuild our stupid triangle before the signal failed and wonder woman had to do our bidding to recapture and bring our target to justice, which she thankfully did now we need even MORE Superglue and now a ROCKET just to get him back to the mothership as he sits, in the ship, in a covered barn with a tarp over the triangles, which hopefully doesnt get mistaken for a silver special triangle edition of Jenga by those idiot humans down there! thus forcing us to redo the event ALL OVER AGAIN!!! GOD I HATE COST CUTTING, as I told them one solid object or nothing, but they kept telling me its cheaper to buy a bunch of the smaller models and slap them together and tell James in engineering to get over his obsession over triangles and buying the phantom zone parts in that shape, as there not cool, there pointy, and I sat on one last week and my butt STILL HURTS!!!

I thought "Skip" was the same actor from The Powers Of Matthew Star but it wasn't him. I did get reminded in research that he played Jo's boyfriend in The Facts Of Life and learned he also played Merlin's modern day (when the show came out) apprentice on Mister Merlin.

The plan was to have WW fly back out to SoCal and throw the lasso on Skip again but getting talked out of it by him pleading that knowing her secret could benefit them both, thereby forming a partnership for the 4th and likely final season.

“In fact, you two are going to be seeing a lot of each other.” Millions of teenage boys felt their pulses racing and their blood pressure spiking upon hearing those words.😍 If Robin the Boy Wonder was a fantasy placeholder for boys to imagine partnering with Batman, how about being an occasional sidekick to WW? Since this was a feminist-leaning show, they probably had some idea of using Diana and Skip to show how feminists wanted boys to treat girls but talk about fodder for early fan fiction!😉

@@dwashbur Sure, but isn't Skip around 13 years old? If he's older, the writers missed a chance to pad the script by having Jerk Dad threaten to not let him get a driver's license unless his grades improved. The age difference and the fact that Skip is still a minor in the show is why I figured the dynamic couldn't be the same as with Steve Trevor. From Diana's perspective, it would be like adopting a little brother (probably a scandal in itself if the other Amazons found out). That's why the feminist mentoring direction seems to me to be the most logical path for their relationship to take. But who knows? The show was cancelled and even if it weren't, the writers and producers no longer seemed to care about good storytelling.

When Diana was in the United States the 1st time in 1942, Her little sister Drusilla came to Washington DC at 1st to watch over a military service & the XPJ-1. That's when she gave the coordinates unknowingly to the Nazis & they invaded Paradise Island for the Feminum, Their mother & the Amazon's were being held prisoners waiting for the mine to be picked clean, until Diana was able to devise a plan to get their bracelets back & capture the Nazis. I love that story. ♥️🙂 Especially when Diana finally decided to go home to Paradise Island. Her mother was thrilled.

I personally wish they did a follow up to the "Girl From Illandia". Having it focused on incidents around California may seem more cost effective back then but it can seem limited in exotic threats to investigate. Also I doubt Skip could share in the paying for gas.

This episode was supposed to be the season three finale leading to another major reboot. Skip Keller would permanently replace Steve Trevor Jr. as Diana's young sidekick. The hope was adding Clark Brandon and relocating to SoCal would bring back some of the younger audience. Apparently CBS had indicated they would renew WW for at least half a season if these changes were made. CBS reneged so we never got to see this partnership in action.

Somehow that's not surprising. I used to have the first three seasons of Hogan's Heroes reviewed on here and I was working on the fourth season. Suddenly CBS started hitting me with copyright blocks and threats to sue me if I didn't take it all down. I'm starting the show again right now on Patreon, but only patrons can watch them. Thankfully, Patreon couldn't care less about all the copyright nonsense. CBS, on the other hand, sure lives up to the last two letters of their name.

@@dwashbur The interview I read with Clark Brandon said he was told to prepare for an entire season, but it never happened. He said it would have been more like a Superman/ Jimmy Olson relationship than a new love interest for Diana.

@@dwashbur There probably wasn't a series in the history of TV that was jacked around with more than WW. Remember even before CBS, ABC dragged its feet green lighting the project for an entire year, instead going with a series of pilots which all performed well. Then when they finally added the series it was only for a handful of episodes which led to the move to CBS. Then CBS forced an immediate retooling by going from WWII to modern day.

@@dwashbur Idiot CBS did the same thing a few years later to another one of my favorite shows, Archie Bunker's Place. Like WW the cast and crew never said goodbye because they left the final taping being told to begin preparations for the next season. Then a couple months later when CBS released the Fall schedule, both shows were absent, far too late to give the fans the proper closure episodes they deserved.

Just wondering, was the show actually cancelled, or just not renewed (unofficial cancellation)? If the latter, then hypothetically, could it technically be made now, as in the fourth season (time differences notwithstanding)?
