@@erichermann4681 That was an Audi RS5 mate, but you’re not far off. At the time the guy outran a police helicopter in the stolen RS5 which was only 1 of 2 in the UK. Only got caught cos he turned around and tried to ditch them going th other way if I recall correctly

@@MrKruska11 just been reading about it actually. Based on the 4.2 V8 rather than being "pinched" from Lamborghini. They shared bits but are apparently 2 different engines. So I guess there may be some differences like firing orders to account for the sound.

Where’s the vr5 engine?!? Literally one of the most unique exhaust notes ever invented. Completely designed and built from the ground up, with 5 cylinders sharing a single head in V formation. Alternating size and shape inlet and outlet ports to create a sound unheard from any other engine in the world.

To be fair, I think BMW (up until the E46) is a great choice for sound, especially the E46 323i and 325i which would be in budget. More on the exotic side, but still cool sounding are the wankel engines of Mazda. However one of the best sounding engines of all time is imho the VAG 1.8T that's in the Octavia Mk1 vRS and one of the engines of the Audi A4 B5.

I don't know about this one. The S6 is my attainable dream car, and I think they sound amazing, but this one seemed of for some reason. The exhaust sounded like a V10 in only some clips. Maybe the exhaust is leaking badly and it's down a cylinder or two or something, but it sounded like crap. At least through video, from outside. I kept hoping for a chance to hear the sound from inside the car, because maybe that would take down the raspy-ness, but sadly we didn't get that. The car is cosmetically totally clapped out, but I hope you will at least mostly fix the oil leaks and the engine and put a decent exhaust on it. Then it would have enough potential for the next owner to maybe put the effort in on the body and give a new lease on life for this once magnificent car.
