Try XI Perdue if you want something bizarre. lactonic vanilla and plastic party balloons. But i love it a lot.

I finally tried the 1980 Chanel no 5. For all of those that think that there isn’t a lot of variation between modern day and vintage, they are completely wrong. The stuff is glorious-that animalic top note is divine. Such a vast difference to my reaction to the modern. No Ylang Ylang bombing in this one. Thank you!

Ooooo i’m TICKLED that you tried it. Chanel No. 5 is the alpha and the omega of perfumery IMHO, but i think you have to experience the vintage to understand it!
