I was surprised the Tiffany 6-prong diamond ring was not on the list! Maybe because the setting is so easily replicated nowadays and it’s hard to distinguish Tiffany set just from looking. I really love the entire Tiffany Schlumberger collection but I am biased as I love Tiffany 💙

I'd love to see the whole breakdown by the numbers because I feel like my wishlist is way off! I couldn't pick one absolute favorite, but my top earring is the Chaine D'Ancre Punk earrings in yellow gold by Hermes, my top necklace is the Tiffany hardware graduated necklace (yellow gold), and my top watch (which is totally jewelry) is a Cartier tank watch with an alligator strap (torn between several color ways) As for smaller brands, I'm obsessed with the realistic botanical jewelry from Michael Michaud! A local stationary store carries their pieces and I always stop by to take a look whenever I visit.

Maybe I’m the only one who finds the Love Bracelets distasteful in that the designer intended it to be like, you know, those medieval locks on females as chattel. Gives the feeling that we are some sort of prisoners lol. It’s just disrespectful. I know that in the recent years they have made newer versions where the bracelets don’t need to be locked by men using screwdrivers anymore, but the sentiment still stays there for me somehow... I’d rather go for other pieces without such a history.

I am surprised that the Cartier watch (Tank or Panther watch) didn't make the list. I think the problem with Tiffany is that they don't really have one iconic piece that is unique to them. I think the Tiffany T line the T square bangle can become that piece, unless they start changing it then it won't be iconic anymore. Thank you Mel for such a lovely video. hi mel love the video! the new rolex is nicknamed as "Starbucks" (at least thats what the resellers i follow call them) and you can only gets your hands on them through resellers! theyre around 30-40K right now it's high cus they just release it! and it's almost impossible to get one from the boutique unless u have a strong purchase history (they do bulk system at least in my country) and good relationship with Rolex or any of their dealer and even so it doesnt guarantee you'll get one... (theyre harder to get than birkin 😭) hope that helps ❤️

I can’t say that I dislike the Cartier Love collection however it looks a bit too simple for me, if I ever had a chance to afford any luxury fine jewelry brands I think I’d focus on VCA, Bvlgari and maybe Chaumet. In terms of watches I feel like AP speaks to me the most. My preference will most likely change anyway until I can afford them (manifesting I guess).

I bought my first Cartier love band and love bracelet in the thin version, It was difficult to choose between the Bvlgari B Zero bracelet as it is very very nice and finally succumbed to buying the cartier thin bracelet, not a fan of the love ring t and regret buying it for such a high cost. However, the cartier love necklace is really nice and want to buy that oneday.

My number 1 women's "Designer" brand is Bvlgari hands down. However I have most of my wife's jewellery created bespoke through Fairfax & Roberts. For me it is Shamballa Jewels and Bvlgari with a little Louis Vuitton thrown in. Watches, we both own a number of Patek Philippe and Tag Heuer.

I just got a diamond tennis bracelet and I love it so much. Such a classic piece of jewelry. I used to be very into designer jewelry but when I started working in jewelry I learned you can get a much better value buying non designer label jewelry. Unpopular opinion - I don’t understand the love for the JUC bracelet. I feel like the only person with this view but jewellery that looks like a twisted nail doesn’t float my boat. The Love bracelet is another odd one for me too. It’s the screw head design that I personally don’t find pleasing. Their popularity baffles me. My current list comprises of VC&A (your pieces are beautiful - love the colours) Paspaley for pearls, Chanel’s Coco Crush, Dior’s fine jewellery and Bulgari. Pieces that aren’t so recognisable that I can wear without feeling I’ll be mugged.

My most wanted/ wished piece of jewelry is a Cartier Tank watch for women. I love Mel's videos. Mel is a lovely and honest vlogger, so what I'm about to say is not to be taken as criticism of her. With that said, who has convinced women that a twisted nail as a bracelet is attractive? I think the bracelet Mel's mother-in-law gave her is much more attractive than either the overpriced twisted nail or that silly overpriced love bracelet that you either have to not remove but wear around the clock, or have someone else unscrew it so you can take it off. That you can't take it off and on easily is crazy! Who convinced women to shell out money for such inconvenience? And why does a bracelet so overpriced starch so badly, while other gold bracelets which do not rip you off do not? I love jewelry and expect more for my money! Never pay more for a name than you would if the name wasn't there.

I have three items on my wish list and I really can’t choose between them. A V&A Alhambra pendant in mother of pearl, a Tiffany’ Diamonds By The Yard bracelet and a set of gold south sea pearls. As you live in Melbourne and love pearls my recommendation for you to check out is Rutherford Pearls in Collins Street, opposite the Regent Theatre. They have the most fabulous range of south sea pearls in all varieties and all price ranges. And they are so lovely to deal with. You can’t miss it, there is an antique brass diving helmet in the window.

Lots of fun and good information. I am always interested in jewelry that is comfortable. Jewelry that you don’t have to worry about. Jewelry that is easy to take on and off. A lot of the pieces you highlighted were not that. A lot of the pieces that I own are Tiffany because they’re easy to take on and off you don’t have to worry about them . Most importantly they are very very comfortable.
