I was watching this video and these guys lowkey missed the mark so TO THOSE WHO DON’T UNDERSTAND THE **MUSIC VIDEO** here’s the analogy explanation ^-^ - the customization machine represents the phrase “the perfect woman has this this and that” - the men using the customization machine represents the phrase “my perfect girl has to have this this and that” - when bella kills the man trying to use to the machine, she’s essentially teaching men a lesson that women aren’t objects you can customize to your liking - when bella destroys the customization machine, she’s essentially destroying the whole conversation around the phrase “the perfect woman has this this and that” as women cannot be made to be perfect - bella destroying the customization machine also tells men that they cannot make the perfect women (anymore) since there is no machine to make them, basically telling men that they have no control over women (anymore) - a destroyed machine is the exact opposite of a functioning machine and since the functioning machine’s job was to make perfect women, the destroyed machine will make imperfect women - bella randomly cranking the destroyed machine represents the fact that women in real life are randomly “generated” and that they aren’t perfect - the imperfect women’s rebellion and the complete destruction of the entire store is to tell society that men cannot control women (anymore), that women are not toys for men to be customized to perfection, and that women are whoever they want to be not whoever men want them to be
