Today I attempted to listen to Bella Poarch's first song ever: Build-A-Bear (except not that). The TikTok star known for her face zooms has now diverted her attention to music, and with great vocals, the expectations were high. Let's see if Bella Poarch can't actually sing.

Lyn Lapid got famous in TikTok and her songs are great. I especially love her cover of Toy Story's "When She Loved Me" and her original song which is Producer Man that has deep meaning to its lyrics. But the amusing thing about this is that, both Bella Poarch and Lyn Lapid are Filipinos - which proves popular producer's opinions from the west that Philippines are no joke when it comes to singers and music lol

I'm going to be honest here. This song has WAY more meaning than other tik tokers music. Think about it, Most other tik toker's I've seen have either made songs about being sad, or their heart being broken. (Forgot to add this- and being obsessed with themselves?) I legitimately like the meaning behind this one, plus it sounds good. She should've gotten famous for this, and not bobbing her head and making faces at a camera

Very true. Tik tokkers barely look into the meaning. And I have a long list of songs that should either be looked into before using or not used at all. All you wanna do from SIX: The Musical is about Henry the IIIV's 5th wife Kathryn Howard and her experiences with men who just wanted her for her body. And people are using it to show of their boyfriends. Gomenne Gomenne is a Vocaloid song that I've seen a few time as well and of often completely stripped of its meaning. It's literally about a girl being r4p3d by her father every day for Christ's sake. And that's just a few. I have more. This is why I prefer to watching other tik toks rather than dance ones..

@ponderinqsp3285
@ponderinqsp3285 3 жыл бұрын
@Sarai Melendez I only said that because it's literally true. For instance, the renegade dance. People thought Charli made it but, the creator was Jalaiah Harmon. Even though they met and it was established Jalaiah Harmon made the dance. She still received like no credit. Like, Jalaiah Harmon had to go on the ellen show to claim whats rightfully hers. Basically stole a dance from a black creator and I didn't like that. I don't think she did it on purpose though, it's just the matter of people assuming things. If you check Jalaiah Harmon's tiktok you will literally see her videos have little likes and comments. Charli popularized on TikTok, while Jalaiah was left in the dust. She even tweeted about it. " mostly white TikTokers who have taken dances from me".

I dont know why some people think just because someone has tiktok means they are brainless, cringy, and untalented. I feel like tiktok gives a bad name for ACTUAL good talented people. edit: obviously there is cringy people etc, im saying you can't assume everyone is like that. the assumptions are whats annoying. yes most of the content you see is trash but a lot isnt that bad, only the bad side is showing and people dont care about the good. yes i have tiktok, litterally all i see if definitely not bad.
@RG-qc7dh
@RG-qc7dh 3 жыл бұрын
I mean can you really blame them? Tik tok is basically mostly visual arts, meaning, all you need to do to succeed, is to look appealing. And when people are only judged by their looks, no one is going to expect them to actually create something exceptional. Tik tok even has a function that puts only attractive people on the for you page, so... not alot of deserved artists are going to get recognition.

brainless - People doing stupid challenges that can hurt them or other people for views cringey - doing things that if done in real life look absolutely panful in their eyes untalented - doing some random easy dance steps and just relying on their following and looks for attention. It IS a bad name for alot of people because most of it is just a cesspool of young people doing stupid things, unlike vines where people were creative and made funny videos which sometimes needed alot of work to place in.

I get heavy Melanie Martinez vibes from this song, the lyrics, the deep beat paired with that lullaby-esque music, the production and music video itself, it all seems very much like Melanie's style Edit: no bad intentions with this comment btw! Bella's song isn't bad at all, it was just an observation I noticed. Taking inspiration from other artists when you start out with music is fine, but I do hope Bella finds her own sound and develops her own style to avoid the "cOPycAt!!1!11" crowd. You're bound to have your songs be similar to someone elses, but this song does overlap a liiiittle too much into Melanie-territory imo and at first playback you could easily mistake it as a MM song. So I wish Bella the best of luck in discovering her taste and evolving it into something of her own.

it's great~! but it's also sub-urbans style too which is also super cool!! sub-urban directed the video and he made the instrumentals I believe? that's why if you listen you can hear a similar style in his songs and in build a bitch

I feel so bad for her because she gets so much hate just because she went viral from bobbing her head but that's not even her fault? from what I've heard she had abusive parents growing up so that's why she went to to navy as a sense of escape, apparently she uses tattoos as a way to hide her scars from the abuse.

What does her horrible past have to do with her bobbing her head exactly? Also what is "It's not her fault for getting famous for doing something low effort and dumb" supposed to mean? Her fault? No, it was her plan, and it went pretty well. Ride the fame of doing nothing, then use said fame to generate money when you make actual content that gets you paid. No secret to it, just capitalism :)

@@mitko22112311 I said I felt bad for her cause she gets hate for no reason and it's literally not her fault that people decided to like her videos and follow her, she obviously made the tiktok just for fun and didn't expect it to blow up. She's also actually making a name for herself by getting involved in the music industry because that's something that she's been wanting to do but didn't have the chance and now that she's given the chance she's obviously gonna take it? If you were given the chance to achieve your dream I'm sure you'd take it as well :)

@@emc9367 I have not a single problem with her living her dreams out. More power to her. I’m simply pointing out that, yes, it obviously isn’t her “fault” as no one is blaming her, can’t take fault if you’re not blamed for anything. Most people are angry that she created a boat out of fame gained simply through her natural beauty and her ability to make funny horny faces because she’s got a textbook 10/10 face, and of course rode that boat of fame into a pit of money with a bit of help from *actual* talent. Can’t deny she’s got a heck of a voice. It sadly doesn’t help her that now she’s obviously become cocky as all hell, throwing middle fingers around on social media like it’s no one’s business and laughing at people in a “Hah, can’t touch me now” kind of way. Obviously very high on the drug that is money and fame, but hey, she’s fairly young, what could one expect.
