This is an interesting take on their relationship. The idea it was planned from the start (to oversimplify it). I always looked at it as Eric is so self-absorbed and narcissistic that he believes everyone holds him on a pedestal and when they broke his stuff it shattered his worldview. It was then Heidi that allowed him to start building himself back up through their co-dependent relationship. Then when he realises his old messages would jeopardise that, his desperation turns to lies and manipulation and eventually to resent and compartmentalising his relationship and people in general that he turns back to his old, awful self that hates Heidi but his ego and narcissism won't allow him to accept losing her. Simply put, I think in the beginning, I think there was a point where Eric COULD have actually bettered himself but as soon as he felt threatened, that was it.

I've dated and I had married a narcissist man and I'm glad I divorced him because it led to physical and mental violence and I am no pinata he degraded me too much and it was to the point I was going to stark crazy. He kept on thinking that I outdressed him and everything. Not only that he was in major alcoholic and I had to attend him like a mom or servant would do and I had enough.

honestly I hate how Eric was actually starting to be happy for once and being nice, but went back to his old ways and made heidi a horrible person too. and as we see in the post pandemic special he leaves south park and becomes a better person so it shows that he could have been happy with heidi but the influence kyle and south park has on him he just spiraled back.

Honestly, the home town thing and settling into old ways is all too real. Felt it every time I came home on leave when I was in the Marine Corps. Still avoid going back now to avoid the atmosphere it produced to make me leave in the first place.

Of course one listen to this and tries to correlate with his relashionship. Man i've been in the other side being manipulated by someone who plays victim, even treathening her life to feed my guilt. Its awfull and i feel better to not be there anymore.. I wasnt perfect either, i also like cartman tried to act and think like my couple when Maybe i didnt really think that way. I just wanted to make things comfortable. No one is great but you should certanly watch out, always try to got for what seems healthiests. Either way Health and luck are going to run out may aswell make it last.

This is why I hate this whole relationship of Eric and Heidi. I would kick his a** for treating her like crap. Real crap.
