If it was real life treatment can be costly, and you would have to live with it for the rest of your life, not to mention the added inconvenience and psychological damage it would cause. Would have to basically tell every partner that you have HIV and could even be transmitted to the fetus being something that could persist through generation...should definitely get more than 10 million in my opinion, especially when you consider your average houses now days can cost you up to 1 or so million - at least in canada I don't know about US, I imagine their housing situation not as bad.

Both of them are in the wrong with Cartman infecting Kyle as a form as revenge is absolutely horrible but Kyle shouldn't have been laughing at anyone getting a horrible disease no matter who it is cause it shows Kyle is just as bad as Cartman in this situation or maybe a little less. Kyle himself does bad acts himself but feels like he doesn't hold himself accountable for his actions. You surprise me Quizzy. Cartman Joins NAMBLA, he gives Kyle AIDS during that game, Woodland Critter Christmas, he kills Kyle with AIDS in his story. Casa Bonita, he asks if Kyle has AIDS before Kyle reveals he's going to Casa Bonita for his birthday. THAT is why Kyle(and by extension us viewers laughed our asses off). Aside from those think of all the things he's done in the 11 previous seasons up to this point in the show. If ANYONE in SP "deserved" what happened, it was Eric Theodore Cartman. And this is before other things he does in later seasons like partner with Cthulu or radicalize the ginger kids in SP. Oh also KNOWINGLY infecting someone with a disease is biological terrorism. This episode is written as a parody of sitcoms(like Trey and Matt grew up watching) where they'd ALWAYS have these silly music cues but have REALLY disturbing topics being covered.
