I live in Syracuse, NY and people especially at Wal-Mart stores always leave their carts in parking spaces. I had a pretty good ding on my car last year when some idiot didn't put his cart back (was very windy that day with high wind warning signs that Wal-Marts have outside of the entrance doors) and all of a sudden, the cart was rolling down the parking lot and hit the side of my car very hard. The guy saw his own cart rolling towards my car and BAM! I tried to confront the guy but he drove away so fast with no care in the world.

I can’t wait til someone decks him for touching their personal property. I worked in retail. I know how annoying it is when people leave carts all over the lot. I would never even think about putting things on other people’s property just because they’re being inconsiderate. @@RosheenQuynh Having worked as a bag boy when I was in high school, which included taking the carts out to people's cars for them and loading their groceries, I wouldn't have wanted to be an employee in situations like this. We were taught to always be polite to the customer, and the quickest way to get a verbal lashing from your manager was to make a customer complain about you. Managers for sure are the worst lazybones when they enable the behavior (and the worst lazybones nearly all the time) but the regular employees aren't really in a position to go after the customers as confrontational as this. We would usually do more subtle things, such as put the groceries in the car where something like the carton of eggs would fall onto the floor if they stopped too suddenly.
