Cartoon Animation in Apple Motion | NO PLUGINS!

Hi Guys, I'm going to show you how to make a simple cartoon animation in Apple Motion with no plugins (like mPuppet). We're going to be hand drawing our character and using behaviors to animate her in this step by step Apple Motion tutorial. This is a great crash course on using behaviors in Apple Motion as well as tackling anchor points.

I really think you are doing a great job with your tutorials. You’ve made them incredibly compact for the amount of info you pack in. I love (I see others disagree) the way you sped some of it up while adding a v.o. later. I also very much like the sort of small business real world approach. While there are other great Motion tutorials out there, these ones seem more approachable and immediately usable.

Thank you for the brilliant tutorial! It's worth mentioning that to do a more natural blink you can use multiple, shorter instances of 'oscillation,' as opposed to just one. The benefit is that you have greater control when the eyes close (they're open the entire time till a another oscillation is reached).

I love using Apple motion since it first appears many years ago, but being self taught lots I do not know? Or understand like replicators and camera so will look at your many tutorials and learn more thanks? Ps I’m 75 years young

For something like mouth movement, is there a way to link the audio to trigger an image from a set of files? (ie low amplitude audio triggers mouth_image01.png, medium amplitude audio triggers mouth_image02.png, etc.) Love your tutorials!

I would love to see and here you explaining the different behaviors and The way they are structured. Like, which one is what for and how they are supposed to react. I hope that you get the idea of it because I’m a beginner and find myself very often struggling with behaviors doing nothing But at the end, understanding what goes and what doesn’t.
