Sureal, having a piece of the green field Lego, hearing the same Playstation commercial phrase but its the first console, Toonami, the finger Teck Decks, the Toaster Strudel Keith David telling you to inlist in the Navy, Rush Hour 2, The "New" Green M&Ms. Truly the Waning Hours of America.

Tragically, these were the final moments of CN being a 24 hour network... I wonder how many parents were complaining during the first year of Adult Swim. After all, the parents had the mindset that CN was squeaky clean for their kids no matter the hour, (until this point) unlike Nickelodeon with Nick at Nite. In fact one of the main appeals for CN back in 1992 when it launched was just that. Nick at Nite had been around for 7 years by that point, Making CN truly the only 24 hour Cartoon Network for almost 9 years.

Also, 3:43 was very shocking to me. The PS2 had already been out for nearly a year when this was recorded yet they're still advertising the PS1

Technically, Adult Swim was part of Cartoon Network's programming until 2005, but only showed PG-13 (TV-14) content at most.

@@RyneMcKinneyI'm pretty sure they were advertising the newer edition of the PS1 that was released alongside the PS2.

Well it aired from 11pm-2am, and it was only shown on Sundays and Thursdays I think so it wasn't an everyday block until around 2007

I’ll never forget this night. It was basically the farewell to the summer for us kids in NYC as the first day for Elementary Public schools was 9/6/01 , and a farewell to late night Toonami (which I was extremely upset about) I’d take Toonami any day over Adult Swim, so many cool things happened on Toonami that summer (Intruder, midnight run: Daft Punk & Gorillaz, Cell Games) and then literally the next week two days after the 2nd ever airing of Adult Swim my country , my city, and my childhood was attacked. For me the 90’s and my childhood died on 9/9/2001 I just didn’t know it yet. 2001 was poised to be hands down one of the best years of the decade had 9/11 not happened. Video Games, Movies, TV shows, Fast Food Promos, Sports, Music you name it 2001 was the golden year of the 2000’s unfortunately it became one of the most horrific years in the history of mankind.

Can you try uploading the CN tapes from August 19th & October 22nd, 2001? (I don't know if you take requests or not. Just wondering.)

@rocky.rocks14459 ай бұрын
Yes Family Guy began airing on Adult Swim in 2003

@@rocky.rocks1445 Cool. Shame Adult Swim never air "Family Guy" or 'American Dad". But that's okay.
@rocky.rocks14459 ай бұрын
@@Kevin-xv9pm adult swim can’t air family guy because Disney doesn’t want an adult channel to air family guy (they also don’t air the Cleveland show for the same reason). American Dad airs every day 9:30pm-11:30pm, and Saturdays 9:00pm-11:00pm.
