The reason CN is focusing on the 2010s right now is because they want to appeal to viewers who watched the channel as kids in the 10s; the people who grew up watching CN prior to that are now in their 20s and 30s, and Warner Bros Discovery considers those viewers to be Adult Swim's problem, not theirs, hence why those shows are on AS's Checkered Past.

2010 was the year when Cartoon had it's Renaissance, and when CN went full on High Definition with their channel. I'm assuming that's why they want to be recognized by that.

They kind of are already. They have cancelled or marked shows as tax write offs that would be marketed to the 2010-2018 born children. You can look at the network’s current schedule to see what I mean.

The 2010s was not that good of an era for Cartoonnetwork. It wasn’t too good and it wasn’t too bad. The era that was objectively the best for Cartoonnetwork is 1999-2008.

That depends if Genndy is interested, he said that there should be more fans who support the show (at least it’s still on iTunes/Play Store/etc. to buy for season 1 volumes 1-2) so that way it’ll be perfect if season 2 will ever be announced for Sym-Bionic Titan, who knows? Genndy’s a busy man, he’s got more projects to work on besides FIXED movie, primal season 3 or unicorn warriors eternal season 2

Sorry for the second comment, but I'd like to see Cartoon Network make a proper VBirds series. Though a short only exists, it had a lot of potential to become a full-blown series and all. If VBirds can get a full series, I can see Cartoon Network launching a new program dedicated to animated shorts commissioned for the network, and CN can greenlight new shows based on those shorts so they can work with whatever material that they liked, and not have to think up of original ideas themselves.

There is a chance the creators of Regular Show, Adventure Time and Gumball wanted to do these ideas themselves and was not the network's bidding, although it could have well been. At least we know with Ben Boquolet wanting to do Gumball season 7 is confirmed because the movie got scrapped so it was the only shot. And hey there still is the new Cartoon Cartoons iteration that's still a thing and some shows announced a few years ago Cartoon Network has not brought up in a while, like Battu. Cartoon Network is on life support though.

Man I really thought back in I think 2020 we were going to see a CN renaissance when they announced unicorn warriors eternal, my adventures with superman and batman caped crusader but they decided to move the 2 shows on adult swim and sell the batman show to Amazon and now we're here CN is still shit adult swim looks like it's thriving they get another show that supposed to be a CN show 😔🤦‍♂️

It’s a shame Zaslav (aka CEO of WB discovery) have to screw things up by moving shows like unicorn warriors, etc from CN to Adult swim due to the merger of WBD itself making bad decisions (which is Zaslav of course), that’s why like I said, I prefer Web/Indie animation for action cartoons, I really wish CN should’ve just be serious to make an better era for action cartoons/anime besides Toonami, CN should just bring back Toonami Fridays in their channel instead of adult swim in my opinion but nowadays [as] has Toonami and WBD just keeps screwing things up for the big time, not just that, the Hollywood execs who worked on the animation industry (Disney, Nickelodeon, etc.) are the problem, ever since Infinity Train was cancelled after 4 seasons due to that “No child entry point” excuse, WB discovery pulling off great shows off HBO max back in aug 2022 before it was renamed to “Max” due to not paying residuals, and yet execs like that keep making terrible decisions for greed, that’s why we live in a world nowadays where indie/web animation exists. The early tens were some of the best Years for CN in my teens. The mid tens had only Steven Universe and late 10s to mid 20s sucked for CN. The mid to late 10s did sucked for western animation for CN,Nickelodeon, and Disney outside of Stsr Vs The Force of Evil Harvey Beaks and Steven Universe and esrly Loud House. The 90s and 00s to early 10s were the era of cable TV. The mid 20s-mid 20s have been the decline in cable and rise of streamkng. I know that the millennium was 2001 and the 201dt decade of the zgregorian calendar was 2001-10. Yet TV was better for cartoons when I was a kid in 2000-08 and a teen in 2008-15. I was a legal adult in 2014 of the mid tens. Still I feel CN Nick ans Disney are not what they used to be as well as Pixar and Dreamworks/Armen. I feel dissstisfied with new carroons and anime today. As someone approaching thirty I sadly want to say ‘they just don’t make cartoons like they used to like back in the day’ as a Zennial they is how I feel with music,TV,cartoons/anime,movies,and VGs. I miss VRS like Blodkbuster and Jumbo Video. Like I will watch IFG. Yet I want more Grim Advebtures, KND,Tren Tiran(03),mkre Coursge,Sym Bionic Titan,more Ed Edd N Eddy,PPGs(98) revival,more Camp Lazlo, more Ben Ten,mkre Hey Arnold, the original Rugrsts having kids and a show about them being adults,more FOP(01),another season of El Tigre,more Hey Arnold and Danny Phantom and Jimmy Neiteon,SpongeBob to be cancelled or to get better as new school SpongeBob is an abomination,continue Regular Show properly as well as Gumball,another UWze season,mkre Gracity Falls and Phineas & Ferb, and new original series.
