Cartoon Network SHUTS Its Website Down After 26 Years...

Sorry for being late as usual as I totally didn't slack off (actually I was busy with quite a lot of stuff). Anyways, I'm talking about Cartoon Network's website shutting down a few days ago. This was in collaboration with a Portuguese friend of mine, RandomMe.

I used to watch both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. As a kid or a teen CN was my favorite channel but I had to watch Adult Swim along with my parents. Rest in peace to the Cartoon Network US website.

Fun Fact: Cartoon Network website was #1 to kids in every age demographic and had reached 91 million households in 160 countries in 2004-2006 while gain 4,600 cities during their get animated takeover. Nowadays along side Nickelodeon and Disney they’re on life support with no soul 😔

Yesterday came the news that every single CN website worldwide will close. 🙁 They will soon redirect to Max or other WBD sites (for non-Max territories).

That is just gut-wrenching. Why does Discovery hate CN so much?

By 10 September, every website but Europe and Canada will be shutdown. - The USA and Latin America redirect to Max. - India and Australia redirect to their respective KZbin channels. - Asia doesn't work, just a 403 error code. - Japan will redirect to Discovery's local website, which will have a CN section. I check the Hungarian site every single day to see when will the European sites get a redirect.

Welp I guess this means it's end of an era for its website that has been around for quite a long time, thanks a lot David Zaslav your ruined everything! 😡😢 R.I.P Cartoon Network's website (1998-Present) which is the same year that the Powerpuff girls premiered 😭😭 Also thanks for RandomMe for that wonderful speech about the channel in Portugal since I was born in there and his right, I actually wanted to go the CN Website but due to the fact I'm in Middle East and I can't go to the website because its only in Arabic and English (which it's available between it's other feeds like EMEA, MENA and South Africa).

@@STuber2023 You should be grateful Sky currently holds the rights to HBO programmes in the UK, preventing Max from actually being able to launch. Though unfortunately that situation may be changing some time soon, and once it does, expect the UK Cartoon Network website to be shut down too.

This is a huge loss.. I discovered the website when I was 8 years old. I’m 23 y.o. right now. In Ukraine an access to the US version of the website was closed after the russian version was opened (early 2010’s) which had few games and poor design. That didn't stop me from going to the US version. Even after 2018, access to all russian websites was banned in Ukraine thank God. With the US website I have many more memories; I learned English this way. My favorite games are Righteous quest 1 and 2, Fight-O-Sphere, Dee Dee’s Moon Squad, Jumping Finn, Tom’s trap-o-matic, CheeseQuest, Splash master, and Blind fooled. At least I can play them on Bluemaxima’s Flashpoint
