Ah, man, just imagine sitting on your couch, snowing outside, watching Ed, Edd n Eddy live on the good old CN back in 2004. Such a different atmosphere it must have been.

Heh, it rarely snows over here. It was actually quite a gloomy day weather-wise, I recall. Good times though, I always remember watching Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends straight after school, and the Ed, Edd n Eddy back-to-backs they did on Saturdays. Not to mention Dexter's Laboratory and all the other shows. Simpler times indeed.

Yeah, I sometimes even skipped the last class, and sneaked home just to see the new episodes of the Foster's, haha. Sadly, not much got recorded off of the CN we have here in Hungary, so there's a big amount of dubbings, bumpers, and continuities that just got lost over time. Also, mind if i ask, what equipment are you using for digitizing the tapes? Sounds crystal clear, with no noise whatsoever, and very good image quality. Mine is horrible, compared to yours, when i first turned my VCR on as an adult, i just thought that all VHS tapes are like that, but as a kid, i just didn't notice it. Now i know, i'm wrong. haha

Yeah, I reused a lot of tapes too. There was a lot more CN that was recorded at the time, but this and the Boomerang tape are pretty much all I have left from those channels, the rest having been long since recorded over. My technique for digitizing is quite old-fashioned, and there are probably more efficient ways of doing it: I have a VCR hooked up to a DVD recorder, and once the tape's been copied over I rip the DVD to my computer. The sound and image quality varies depending on the tape; if you look at the other tapes on my channel - particularly the ones from the '90s - there is some noise present. This particular tape would have been recorded from a digital source, and if I remember rightly the VCR I used at the time had Dolby audio, or somesuch.

This one definitely stands out audio quality-wise, but even your '90s recordings are far far better than mine. Might be my VCR tho, it's 30+ something years old, with one single coaxial output on it, which is how it's hooked up to my capture card. VCR prices are really high (at least in my country), but if i can get my hands on some Hungarian CN tapes, i'm sure i'll get a better one then. My "Nokia reklám 2002" video is pretty much the most i can get out of it, in case you're interested.

@@LesterLeapsIn1 any Nickelodeon UK VHS you have coz i am looking for ones recorded from these years following: Nickelodeon UK 1998 Nickelodeon UK 1999 Nickelodeon UK 2000 Nickelodeon UK 2001 Nickelodeon UK 2002 coz i am also looking for more episodes of these series of shorts that would be shown during the ads: Race Rabbit (Series 1 from the Nickelodeon UK VHS uploaded by ChrisVHS89) The Non-Adventures Of Hot Chunks (many various episodes uploaded by The Hall Of Advertising and ChrisVHS89 aspectively Inside-Out Boy UK Dub (only 1 episode to find left and that is the school days episode) The Undersea Monkeys (latin dub aka los monos submarinos is available on KZbin, Internet Archive and Dailymotion) Talking With Dinosaurs (begging bit of the original english dub is found and a full length latin dub aka cosas de dinosaurios has been found on KZbin, Internet Archive and Dailymotion) if you have any of these VHS then please keep me posted
