I’m still shocked by the loss of Ed. Thank you Jim for keeping Ed’s wish in releasing these videos. Rest in Power Ed.

I thought the colors and lettering worked for the book. John McCrea's art isn't easy on the eyes, and they followed suit.

When the upcoming omnibus listing came up on amazon they listed it with the wrong price and I slid in on the pre-order

Hitman was the Boys done with a bit of class, it's still crass, infantile, it mocks superheroes (as we all should), but it's not lazy, it goes beyond it's initial scope, a very good piece of work by Ennis

John MC Crea drew me and some other guys into the comic. He came over with, Glen Fabry and Steve Pugh, to a convention in the Netherlands. We got a budget to take the artists out. And boy did we have good time. I still have a bowling pin we took... And all of them signed. I don't know which issue it is from head. But it's a crew of guys... An Asian, an black thay with cap (that was actually a white guy) a taller guy. And a guy with bags under his eyes.. Thay was me. Man what a few great days and nights we had.

I think this is a perfect example of how great a writer Garth is. So many other writers would have just done the same middle of the road crap with these characters, but he made them feel like genuine people, characters you actually cared about .
@johnhicks19197 ай бұрын
@@jessedub his arc in this is always tinged with just the right amount of humanity. Even six pack and crew really hit home. Ennis has such a great ability for making you root for the person you might just walk past and ignore on the street

How many videos did Ed make before his passing?
@lambtoon7 ай бұрын
I think the king Kayfabers would be able to estimate best if it was every week they recorded an extra vid or just every once in a while. I know they said they did this for vacations or times that didn’t permit being able to record new stuff. I’m sure a lot was used during Ed’s manga quests. Most of these videos seem to be very recent with a few older ones. Perhaps they had doubled down on the extra videos since he was planning another trip to happen very soon. Kinda wish he had been on one of those trips surrounded by friends in a different culture when everything happened.

After one video was released with Ed in it, after his passing I thought "Oh they must have done one or 2 before he passed" Since, Ive seen maybe 10? A week ago I thought, "Was this a hoax?" That would be a very cruel hoax. So I guess they filmed tons of unreleased vids after Ed passed.
