If you haven't seen it yet, we have another HUGE video for Murder Drones, this time explaining the crazy mythology that inspired the show: kzbin.info/www/bejne/immbhoain9mYq6c

It's definitely one of those "piece it together yourself when you've got time" kinds of stories. But personally, I kinda love that about it :)
@randy96804 ай бұрын
It took me a couple binges and videos like this for me to piece everything together. I didn’t even notice that the hologram the Absolute Solver used during the parent-teacher conference was Lizzy until this video.
@enigmavixen36664 ай бұрын
Even after multiple watches and trying to piece everything together, the story and character dynamics still have a bunch of plot holes and leaves a lot of important questions unanswered, especially in regards to the lore with the solver. 1- we still don’t know what the absolute solver even is. Is it a rouge AI? Is it a sentient virus? Is it an innate program that all drones have that just activates under certain conditions? 2- what exactly was the solver's goal and motive? Why does it want to exterminate all life and devour planets? 3- how is the solver capable of interacting with, influencing, and bending reality the way it does? I.e telekinesis, teleportation, mutation, creating bio matter, black holes, etc 4- how exactly does the solver go about creating murder drones? Does it have to build each one manually or does it have a secret assembly plant/ headquarters somewhere that mass produces them? 5- if the solver is capable of cloning the murder drones, why didn’t it just redeploy more of them? Why only bring back J when it technically has an entire army at it’s beck and call? 6- why did the solver want to kill off the worker drones when it could have infected and used them as potential hosts or converted them into murder drones like it did with N,V, and J? Why did it need spires constructed all over the planet in the first place? 7- if earth was destroyed then where has cyn been this whole time prior to arriving on copper 9? Why didn’t she show up sooner if was was aware of what was happening? 8- considering how the solver operates, are cyn and uzi it’s only hosts or are there more of them scattered across the universe? 9- and probably the biggest question, is humanity extinct or are they still alive somewhere on other planets? If they are alive, are they aware of the solver and the threat it poses to the universe? Or are they occupied with some kind of intergalactic robot apocalypse war? These are just a few of the MANY questions i have that the show doesn’t address…
@trixfox454 ай бұрын
Idk I watched all of it yesterday for the very first time and understood the story pretty well. I just was curious if I missed anything about the absolute solvers origin and if there is any information how Uzi now lives with cyn. Which doesn't really get explained anywhere/we don't get shown. Otherwise I just kept confusing V and J xD

I really like the slow realization this show makes you go through from thinking that N could regenerate in the first episode thanks to human super science, to realizing that there might be some kind of magic involved, to realizing that what actually happened was humans using super science to try and control something far beyond themselves, and they failed.
@Queue36124 ай бұрын

@@Queue3612 Yeah, I know, but we don't know that in the beginning. I'm saying it's just believable enough in the beginning that your first thought is that it's probably just super sophisticated technology, but I'm praising that the show slowly starts making you question just how much of the crazy stuff can you explain that with before it fully makes you realize what's actually going on.

On the topic of Episode 7, I absolutely love the religious tones. The humans didn't understand the Solver, they saw it like some sort of demon posessing the drones and treated it that way - using religious symbols like a crucifix to ward off the Solver, having words like "exorcism" and using a Pentagram to contain Nori after her solver acts out. Or in the fight between Uzi, Nori and N after having both hands cut off to avoid Uzi/the Solver using NULL, when Nori throws the pickaxe at Uzi she spreads out her arms, entering a pose looking like a crucifixed person and wanting the pickaxe to hit her - knowing N couldn't bear the sight of this. (Also I love how Nori mom-slapped the posession out of Uzi after reading that N and Uzi are apparently "hanging out", imagine your moms slap interrupting an Eldritch monsters mind control). Regarding the solver in episode 8, Nori said that the Solver needs a host. It will look for a host to posess and use their body, and if Uzi hadn't "offered" herself as host the Solver would've either re-entered Cyn or find another person, possibly repeating the cycle as Uzi has shown good control over her own Solver inherited by Nori. Uzi isn't posessed by Cyn in the end, it's the Solver. Cyn is just the drone the Solver used. But it seems like the Solver loves bows, lmao.
@festivevacancy4 ай бұрын
The solver likes bows because it lived with N,V,J and was another pet/friend of Tessa so the solver got an identity from this environment
@kalpea_varis4 ай бұрын
@@festivevacancy I like the headcanon of the Solver using bows on its own hosts & some of the Disassembly Drones because it saw Tessa with bows and loved the style lol
@brightbulb16474 ай бұрын
Precisely my thoughts too. Glad other people think likewise as well. I've always considered the Absolute Solver to be some kind of unholy eldritch entity manifesting within host AI. It's not meant to be understood, hence why the Humans on Copper 9 couldn't really understand it. It bends the laws of the universe and straight up breaks physics, and the entity itself The Solver of the Absolute Fabric doesn't make things easy when it loves to mess with people too.
@Queue36124 ай бұрын
It was Uzi reading the message that snapper her out of it, not Noris slap. Its the connection/bond between Uzi and N that keeps Uzi herself.

I kinda got my own theory for why N and V stopped eating workers in the end. I don't think that the worker's oil is essential for their survival as a base drone. I think it's more of a programming thing done by Cyn during the creation of the murder drones. Because Cyn is their host or admin for the first 5 episodes, I think it's possible that she put her hunger in as an essential part of their programming to make sure every worker (and or living organism) is killed so that she can eat the planet in peace. In episode 5, while N and V are rebooting, you can see that their admin changed from Cyn to Darkwolf17, which is Uzi. For me, this is the point where their hunger for drone oil ended. I don't know if Uzi is cured of needing drone oil to access the absolute solver, though. She did reject Cyn as the host of the Solver in episode 8 but kinda fused Cyn into her consciousness, so I dunno about her. But yeah, that's my theory.

They only needed the oil to prevent overheating, and Uzi is shown to be able to resist the overheating anyway in episode 4 when she confronts V, so I think that they never really needed it, and a fridge or a cold shower probably would've also done the trick. It seems they hunt more because of the primal predatory urge placed inside them, which I'm guessing was put there to make them so the killing that they were sent to the planet in the first place for.

Earth was destroyed, Cyn invaded other exoplanets & Copper 9 half imploded which killed all humans there. So most likely all humans died. J always knew that “Tessa” was Cyn but the company sending them to Copper 9 was false memories. Cyn was the one who turned them into disassembly drones, not the company.
@OutcastsRedeemer3 ай бұрын
The humans didn't send the murder drones. That was Cyn attempting to stop the humans from finding the "cure". The last ditch attempt by the remaining humans on the Copper 9 was what happened in the cathedral which resulted in a backdoor to the colony which is what happened to all the other colonies. Except the backdoor here failed when Uzi's "mom" was uploaded with the cure and stopped Cyn from spreading out. Uzi's mom then locks the facility down activating the raptor drones because she was apart of Cyn's "collective" for a short while and understood what she was planning. Cyn the launches the murder drones to kill the worker drones destroy the cure and reopen her backdoor. But that is stopped by both the worker drones becoming sentient and hiding and the raptor drones keeping the murder drones from reaching the interior of the cathedral facility.

I'm just happy that Nuzi is canon and that V survived and literally tamed the Sentinal that was trying to kill her. Also, the whole Uzi and Cyn being one entity, I think it's more like Uzi is the main one in control and has a small fragment of Cyn's AI in her. I say a small fragment because the majority was destroyed/killed. I think it's really cool that Uzi now has contrpl of not only her Absolute Solver, but also Cyn's. Also, I feel like Doll is still somewhat alive but dormant inside Uzi's AI/consciousness, similar to how Cyn is. I mean, think about it: Cyn ate Doll's core, and then Uzi ate Cyn's core/heart. Finally, there's a slim chance that Yeva is alive as her core somewhere, similar to how Nori was alive as her core. My theory about the Absolute Solver is that the Absolute Solver AI program was originally something humans created in some form of experiment. However, the experiment failed and the Absolute Solver program went rogue, and digitally evolved into what we know it as in the show.

I wanted to ask your opinion. Like you said every episode of Murder Drones is inpired by a horror movie, 1. Terminator, 2. Alien/The Thing, 3. Carrie, 4. Friday the 13th, 5. The Haunting/Hill House, 6. Jurrassic Park and 7. The Exorcist but ep 8 I can't decide what inspires it. The closest I can think of is IT especially with the call back pings bringing up past trauma like Pennywise and the final battle with Cyn overcoming the fear she caused. What do you think?

It's worth noting that when Alice says Nori left the Cabin Fever drones to die, she also notes that Uzi seems a lot like her... "except the yellow eyes." Seems she was compelled to leave... And in any case, well... Man, do I loce this show. Some more detail and fleshing out would've been great, but I love it as it is; a surprisingly deep but brisk ride through an epic story filled with character, mystery, twists, turns, and... a happy ending with some bittersweetness mixed in, heh. Truly, one of my favorite tales of all time. Thank the Goddess for Murder Drones. 💖

My head canon for why J was confused after 'Tessa' asked her to do something was becuase J was originally N and V's leader, so after J left them and joined Cyn, J wasnt used to taking orders

sad its the end of murder drones fr, i still cant belive its over also great final MD video but maybe one day u will be able to do another video about N and Uzi's story, maybe glitch will make some murder drones shorta, just like vivienne(vivzipop) but i know she's making them to keep the hype up until next big episode

I mean, you know glitch, they like giving confusing answers to troll us, maybe we could get at least a spin off?

i think a big issue of following the murder drones plot was simply how similar the characters looked. Because they were robots its obviously hard to tell them apart, but everybody could tell who uzi was simply by how unique her design was. If we took an actual murder drone and compared it to another, it would be hard to figure out who they were.

I remember watching Murder Drones, and it's cool, pretty neat with a lot of interesting fights and battle scenes but it was kind of hard to completely get the whole story. But hey it's why I'm here

Even while watching the episode 7, I still had moments of realization when I thought "I have no idea what is going on". I really needed to rewatch some parts to understand it all, not even fully understand, but understand to the point that I could really follow the story. I wanna rewatch it fully soon, just finished watching the last episode yesterday and I feel like its gonna be a lot more different when I now understand what am I watching. I also needed to watch a few videos of people explaining the lore of the show, and characters looking really similar definitely didnt help too. This show is definitely not easy to watch, or I mean, it could be easy to watch, but if you really wanted to understand everything, you needed to think really much about a lot of things.

I thought I heard Liam hold back saying something about a spin off in a Livestream or something. My suspicions are high that we may be getting more and Liam is hiding it (it also mysteriously went unlisted 🤷♀️)

The whole show reminds me of Disney's Coco. A rebellious teen goes against the wishes of living family in favor of a dead family members obsession, which leads to an illness that becomes the plot point of "the story ends when the protagonist is cured." As the story ends, the living family accepts the beliefs of "dead" family and the story concludes with the setting the story began with, as the protagonist sees both sides of the stories they witnessed.

Also reminds me of portal; i.e. Cyn and GLADos, Uzi and Chell, N and the companion cube.

I actually have a little theory, in the first episode we see the murder drones strait up spamming lasers and all that, latter we barely see anything like that at all. My idea is that they misinterpreted their programing from "unless you have a fresh source of oil, you will weaken" to "if you dont have a fresh source of oil you will die."

"Zombie Drone" might be used to describe a type of drone or robotic enemy that has been infected or corrupted, essentially becoming a "zombie." These types of enemies can be found in various games where robots or machines are turned into hostile, mindless creatures? I pretty sure those zombie drone is kinda dangerous

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. It's a fantastic show with insanely good characters, setting, sound and visual design. However it's significantly lost on me because I can't like something if I don't know what I'm liking. I know it's good because I was astounded at the finale without understanding anything, but I also know it would've been so much better if I knew the who, how and why of all these characters. Information seems to just crop up with little to no explanation, like I missed an episode. Nope, just scripted that way.
