Few little tips from watching last video/ this one :) - SPAWN IN ROSEWOOD has every thing you need including fire station, big police station, pharmacy, school, library, mechanic/ gas station and a giga mart. - You can right-click on a window to remove broken glass and close curtains to prevent zombies from seeing you. - Press "Z" to change seats and "N" will turn off the car. - When fighting press "Space" to push back zombies that are too close to you. - You can sustain zombie injuries such as scratches, lacerations, and bites each ranging in severity. Scratches grant you a 7% chance of infection while lacerations give you a 25% and bite 100% chance of infection. It's important to maintain proper wound care and hygiene make sure to regularly change bandages when dirty, and clean your injuries with bourbon, alcohol wipes, or disinfectant you can also make sterile bandages by boiling bandages in an oven with a pot of water or use disinfectant to prevent the risk of infection. Zombie infection and wound infection are different zombie infection from wounds basically means the chance to become zombified there are signs when you have become infected such as feeling queasy and high temperature. Wound infection slows down your healing rate and can't kill you. - If you are stuck reading in a car press "esc" to quit reading. - Right-click on weapons to attach them to your back or your belt for faster access and better storage. - Wear clothing that gives you higher scratch and bite protection for better survivability, however, be careful because too much clothing can make you slower and sweat leading to fatigue you can find digital watches on zombies to check the weather temperature. - Keep an eye out for important building materials such as nails, hammers, saws, ducktape, and garbage bags for base building and long-term survival. Collect electrical watches on zombies to dismantle and level up your electrical skills important for hot wiring make sure to read the book prior. - Hold "V" When you're in a car for car options. - If you crouch by pressing "C" and press "Q" your character whispers to draw the attention of zombies that are very close by instead of shouting. - Put food in the freezer to preserve it longer. - Blunt weapons have better knockback and durability, while blades have higher damage and can damage clothing on a zombie you might want to use for yourself. - If you're not planning on strictly playing vanilla I would recommend some mods for this game as Project Zomboid has a very big modding community that makes the game convenient and fun such as Quality of life mods, weapon indicator durability, better and more moodles/ traits and many more. This isn't a tip but keep up the great content man!

There's a setting where you can turn on seeing who is visible on maps (I believe 1 [You], 2 [Friends], 3 [Everyone].) Mapremoteplayervisibility in the players section of the server settings. You can also turn down jumpscare noises in your audio settings. If you click the grid (second from the right on the bottom right of your map), it will change the map perspective.

Well If you want heavily fortified bases/secure I recommend these three. 1. Kentucky State Prison, Muldraugh Location: Rosewood Knox Prison is the most heavily fortified area in the game, surrounded by layers of unclimbable protective fencing, iron bars, and metal sheets. 2. South-Western Knox Country, The Military Base location: Tucked away in the far reaches of South-Western Knox Country. 3. McCoy Logging Camp, Muldraugh It has three large warehouses, each housing dozens of storage crates packed heavy with materials, weaponry, and resources. Location: outskirts of Muldraugh, west of the downtown area Btw. Most bases are in far off locations so it will be quite the journey. Any good base is typically FAR FAR off.

No such thing as secure bases really, most houses CAN be safe, just destroy the stairs if you can do that, clearing out hundreds of zombies isn't really efficient just to "secure" a base location with like 2 people, the places you mentioned usually require tons of weapons and ammo as well as a group big enough to secure it before the zombs spawn back in or wander in. Most places for a small group of people are actually inside towns, like there in riverside there are houses in the very edge of town, with a climbable fence (for players) and you can just secure both ends of the street with logs or furniture from the houses nearby. I could name a few more for other towns if you'd like for small groups ("I simply have no friends to play with okay?")

@@just_kris well, thats why I learned to HIDE my base, usually through the exploits on PZs perspective. There are videos out there on hiding bases in plain sight, and usually raiders just wont notice unless they see you go in. Edit: I learned cause I play ALONE so raiders are really my biggest threat and hiding my presence in towns has become 2nd nature to me in pz. Like looting just enough so that it looks like the place is just uninhabited instead of me actually living in there.

Also yes there are, just sit quietly in your base if you don't want raiders to be chasing you, and yeah if you have the survivors mod then sometimes the raiders just spawn then hone in on you because *A.I.* but usually they won't even know you were there at all unless they actually see you. I've even seen raiders set up bases and just walk around the town looting things from them, so as long as they have enough they usually don't try to attack you (unless it was the one that spawns in to specifically attack you)

You can get into the police storage with a key or sledgehammer. If you can’t find a key with the zombies inside the station then find some zombies outside then bait them in the station then kill them and they should spawn with the key that opens that door! Loving the episodes so far!!

I think they changed how the key spawning works, I don't think it will spawn on any zombie you let into the building anymore. I could be wrong and they haven't made that change yet, but another way to get through those locked security doors is to disassemble it with a screwdriver and I think a hammer. Can also beat down the door with crowbars and such manually.

I just discovered you guys today and I'm having so much fun listening to all the chaos while I work lmao. a few tips that I learned here and there as a relatively new player as well: 1. attach weapons onto your back/belt. whenever you're busy like dismantling furniture or whatnot, you can just press the buttons 1 (back), 2 (left belt), 3 (right belt), 4 (left holster), 5 (right holster) so it's much easier to access in case a zombie suddenly attacks you 2. I often use the fridge to barricade doors (you can steal it from the neighbors, make sure they're empty so you can carry them). effective and you don't need to use up materials. + if you need to go out, just pick it up and put it to the side looking forward to your next videos!!

A bit of advice, a good strategy for killing hordes is fire. Fire can be started either via electric appliances, molotovs (bourbon and rag to craft and lighter to start it.) and campfire. Although property destruction is a risk. Also tou can break down every door in the game. Including those in the police station,

Tips from a new player, burbon is very useful, you can use it to disinfect rags and bandages to get sterilized rags, or you can make molotov cocktails with one bottle and one rag, but you need a lighter to use them, dont pick up wine, as far as i know its not very useful. Also anytime you're inside open every door ready to swing/shoot, theres always gonna be that one z that suprises you and gets you infected. Also also you only need one board to stop zombies from getting in but its goot to keep it at 2 per window cuz you can still see out if there are 2, you won't be able to if there are 3

You can also disassemble locked doors to get through without a key. You'll need to have a screwdriver and a hammer of some sort too, ballpeen, regular, or club hammer, any hammer will work I think

The best weapons are the crowbar, the pickaxe and the firemans axe (its just called an axe, but not the hand axe) you can also craft spears those are very good the only bad thing about them is how quickly they break Edit: shovels and sledge hammers are good as well they just swing a little slow compared to other weapons

In case you don’t know yet CaRtOoNz, it actually matters where you aim and hit with melee weapons. For example hitting a zombie with the staff/handle of an axe because of how close they are deals little/low damage, while hitting them at length with the blade deals full damage. Another great example is when Zombies are on the ground. If you stomp or hit them in the chest, it deals normal damage, while hitting them in the head deals greater damage. Just goes to show how in-depth this game really is and dedicated the devs are

If y'all end up surviving long enough the power and water will shut off so you guys should definitely build water collectors and look for cabbage seeds, cabbages have the highest fat/carbs yield for your character. And they grow decently fast. However if I remember correctly eventually planting over and over again in the same crop block will eventually drain the soil of nutrients and you won't be able to grow anymore crops, just like in real life! Therefore you'll need alot of croplets and fertilizer to get you through the 100 day run in Zomboid.

FYI @cartoonz, if you press "E" you can open doors, jump over fences, etc. Additionally, you can hold "E" to open and close windows. You cN also use SHIFT+ "E" to open and close sheets in windows. I can give more tips if you want! Just lemme know. And if you drag weapons to the hotbar at the bottom of ur screen, you can press "1" "2" "3" to quickly equip them!

Riverside has the car park with the tall fence all around it that can be secured pretty easy its close to the bar area. Also machete is great on its own but if you sharpen a stick you can take some duct tape to make a machete spear which gets rid of the shorter reach problem squirrel had.

I like how Squirrel states the machete is the worst...but it's actually the best 😂. You have to level up your skill for it to be better! Crowbar is like 5th or 6th on the list according to google. Depending on your weapon you have to keep using it for it to be better. Two handed. Versus blunt. Versus 1 handed etc. Even shooting. If your shooting is ass you will be too no matter how on par you shoot them in the head, you will miss. Make sure also TO PUT WEAPONS ON YOUR QUICK BAR ❤ IT HELPS IN A PANICK (I know he figured out most of this stuff halfway through just trying to be helpful❤)

Some tips on your next endeavor - Sleeping is disabled by default, but can be enabled in the settings. So whoever is hosting has to enable "Sleep Allowed" and "Sleep Required". This will allow you to sleep and the fatigue system will kick in. - When dealing with a ton of loot, click on the Columns to sort it. Clicking on the "Type" column will sort it alphabetically. Cartoonz spending 2 minutes trying to find cigs in the van was painful to watch - Attach your weapons. Having a weapon attached to your belt/back will make it weigh less than not-attached, and you don't need to open your inventory to swap weapons. - You don't need to right-click or click on most things in the game. Pressing E works for nearly all things. Pressing E will open/close doors, turn on lights, open/close windows. Pressing SHIFT+E near a window will close its curtains. Holding E next to windows will make you climb out of it. - You don't need to right click on a magazine to load bullets into it. Hold the R key to show the gun radical-wheel. It has several options. Pressing X will rack/chamber rounds. - You can attach the machete to a crafted spear to make a pretty viable weapon, and give you some distance. You can make the crafted spear with wood, and attach it with ripped sheets or rope. - *Carefully* check each box. Cartoons missed out on a sledgehammer, which is insanely rare and very needed. Duct Tape, Glue, Wood Glue, and Wires are also very valuable as you can repair weapons with them. - If you need an extra boost, you can sprint. When jogging, press LEFT-ALT to start full sprinting. - Having a water-bottle in your inventory will make you character auto-drink when they are thirsty. Good luck!

My favorite spawn is using the Axeman Trait that gives u + 2 axe skill or somethin then spawn at rosewood, there's a fire department that usually holds atleast 2-6 fireman axes, you can solo wipe hordes with just an axe, there's a police station that holds guns right across the street from the fire dept.

lousville theres a military outpost right in the entrance past the bridge(lots of guns and items) all u need is a saw to take down the wood barriers and is a big city with lots of cool spots and houses with tall fences near the city. love this videos aswell

It's a lot faster and easier to kill zombies if you press space to shove the zombies till they fall, then smash their head with your weapon. This also saves the durability on your weapon.

Project Zomboids is a punishing game where if you have confidence means your dead, im gonna give some tips and tricks if any of you trying to play this game : 1. If your new avoid fighting groups from 4 and above as it can overwhelmed you pretty easy 2. Blunt weapons have the ability to make zombies fall on their back than using blades 3. Stop running as you can outrun zombies by walking, run only when you have to(preserve stamina) 4. Cars can only be use if you have the keys or hotwired(mechanic lv2, electrical lv1)( you can find keys on ground or on zombie or in the cupboard or drawers soemtimes depending on the vehicle location) 5. Guns attracts more so be ready if you shot once 6. For those who started with police or veterans, you will get Aiming skill 2 meaning higher chance of getting hit when shooting but if you start other occupation, look for shotguns as it can kill up to 4 zombies per shot but yes means you gonna die if no escape route whatsoever. Remember you will tend to miss more than getting hit. 7. Spacebar to shove zombies not jump 8. You can clear windows that are broken with right click>removed glass shard (something like that) 9. Its always good if you have more food than what you need better more than less(in base storage) 10. Wounds that have infection, can be treated with alcohol wipes, disinfectant, or bourbons then bandage urself with sheets, bandage or adhesive bandage. You cannot survive bite(death). Also if you're wounds infected, be sure to check from time to time as laceration have more chances to get infected. 11. Do not hit zombies wih vehicles as it can damage your hood and later on damaging your engine. 12. Sneaking is better when you're trying to get into houses or just casually walk around as walking makes sounds. 13. If zombies onto you, try to shake it by going into woods(risky), or walking beside houses walls as zombies somehow attracted to windows and doors. Moving from house to house can also lose the zombies attention. 14. If your in vehicle and your car trunk is full, you can put your stuff in the backseats 15. You can wear multiple layer of clothing but the more you wear, the hotter you get, the sweatier you are, the slower your movement. 16. There are mods in this game with alot of vehicles, guns, clothing, setting, maps and more just go to the workshop in steam 17. Pistols and revolvers attract less than shotguns or any big weapons 18. If your bitten, you will not die immediately, but you will given time to move your stuff to any other storage and then after dying, you can retrieve your stuff at the storage that you dropped off. Reminder that if you died as a zombie, your zombie will roams the earth and it will make it harder to retrieve your stuff 19. Always bring screwdrivers and hamemrs as it helps alot with this two tools 20. To open canned foods you will need can opener but if you have CommonSense mod you only need bladed weapons or anything that can pry Additional : 21. Press ESC to cancel any action such as reading books in cars( I died from it before) 22. Wounded limbs have effects on your performance 23. Break the passenger side windowsand not the driver window as windows giving you protection for you and yes you can get bit from windows if the windows are broken. 24. Houses can be barricaded with woods and planks, and these does not only apply to one side, you can barricade both sides windows and doors adding extra protection 25. Propane torches can be used if you have welder mask 26. Cars can be fixed if your mechanics high enough but you will need to find the substitute parts, to train mechanics just find a vehicle to sacrifice then just spams removing parts of the vehicles and then putting it back up. 27. Machetes and Katanas are one of the most strongest melee weapons and rare to so keep an eye out, axes are good too but mostly for cutting woods 28. Press B for crafting menu 29. You can put notes or symbols on your map but you will need pen or pencil and eraser(if you use pencil) 30. Flashlight will need batteries, keep an eye out for radios or scatter batteries 31. If you want to live a nomad life, RV and Interior RV mod is your best friend, and also the Autotsar mods as it grants you with A LOT of vehicles 32. If you standing in the center of mass genocide, your gonna get queasy so get out as fast as you can cuz you can get infected from airborne desease 33. If your character getting Queasy, that's where you need to panic 34. Decorate your house with place item options and you can place it, rotate it the way you like 35. Playing on normal server(not dedicated server) means you will see desync sometimes so avoid driving together in close range, be sure to drive far from you friend or any other players 36. Events such as Gunshots, screams bring zombies towards it but Helicopter event is different, go somewhere far from your base if the helicopter spotted you or just stay indoors if it didn't cuz helicopter = noise = hordes 37. At night, close curtains as zombies can spot your lights in the house but this doesn't bother much except if your playing apocalypse 38. Speaking of Apocalypse, for those who new play on builder mode, less zombies but tends to get alot tense the more you survive as the zombie numbers go up 39. Zombies killed within your area will not respawn for sometimes but if your building base and killed some zombie around it, the zombies will not respawn either cuz the zombie respawn system is based on how often you visit, the less you visit the more zombies will respawn and if the zombies didn't spawn, the zombies will migrates from time to time so expect some stragglers 40. Noise doesn't mean it's bad, you can shout to attract attention by pressing Q, you can also whispers when you sneak also press Q when sneaking, and even honking cars, these strats are pretty much useful if your clearing an area or sneaking past hordes, whispers can help you separates hordes. 41. Some zombies pretends to die, or sometimes zombies that you killed with melee, can get back up but the rates are 1/10 so all good but if you want to make sure they dead just run them dead bodies with your car several times then your good( the run over the dead bodies are from my experience I tested it and yes it works) 42. Electricity and Water will be gone after a week or two so be sure to collect as much water as you can in containers such as bottle, pans, bowls and such 43. Generators can be found in garages and you will need to read a magazine called "How To Use Generator" and if you want to set up generator for your base, set it up outside cuz you can die from carbon dioxide in the house, so yeah out it outside like in real life These are the only things that crossed my mind, if you need question you can ask me thank you and i hope you have a good day

When they were constantly looking for a weapon even tho they didn't need one necessarily, they skipped so many items that can be used as a weapon .... One of the primary rules of Zomboid, anything can be a weapon, they don't know what it means to have a pen as your best weapon 😅

There is a map legend either on your map in bottom left or on the maps you find and read, cans are important until you get a farm since fridges and stuff go off after some time and when looting on the right side just click through the icons to look through each section easier. You should definitely be collecting seeds. The machete is a good weapon, does lots of damage

Haven't watched the full video yet, but heres a little exploit for that police station: absolutely destroy the zomboids inside the police station, it has a higher chance of spawning a key on one of them, instead of doing it outside. Also, *ALWAYS* park away from the place you are looting, that is how you get surrounded really easily the longer your world goes on, park across the street. And just press Shift+accelerate for the car to allow that little cruise control so you don't crash into a streetlight. For some simple *navigation*, just look at the street orientation really, each town usually has a specific way it is oriented or has a bunch of easy to tell stuff *main streetwise* anyway; like Rosewood has a main street going northeast with apartments lining the main road, Westpoint has a road going southeast that is through sub-urbs and then a commercial area, Riverside is the easiest, the main road is right next to the *river*, and Muldraugh has that large f*ck all highway that is littered with zombs. Lastly, *Door Flash* pretty meta actually, just open and close the door really quickly to take a peek inside (Until there is a peek through door option, this is the most "realistic" way to peek really) *helps you avoid a bathroom party from surprising you* Btw I don't wanna backseat game or anything, I just wanna share some knowledge to some newer players in the comments, cause y'know it's pretty sad how this game is pretty hardcore from the start and dying over and over again is the only way to learn things and navigation some stuff isn't really taught from the tutorial and you just have to figure it out yourself

U missed the sledge hammer in the box u can use it to make a realy good base by putting a sheet rope out a 2nd story window and bresking the stairs so no zombies can get to you

I'll make a suggestion that I hope you get to read. It will be long winded but might save your life when it counts- late game. I suggest you keep a suture needle and thread and the tweezers and the needle holder in the fanny pack, One of the things that happens in the game over a very long time is that your shoes will wear out. It will take months, When they finally wear out, your character will just be walking around in sock feet. I was on like day 70+ and I looked up and saw I had taken damage and was bleeding. My boots had fallen off and I had immediately walked in broken glass without knowin it. I didn't have a needle and thread and I was far from my base, I barely made it back before I could stich up my foot, it almost ended my run so like I said, keep the essentials in that fanny pack to stich yourself up. not sure if you’ll see this, but I said it in the previous video and I’ll see it in the next one to make sure to grab sheets because you can board the windows and then put the sheets on the windows that don’t have curtains to block line of sight and tweezers are also something that’s good to pick up because if you end up getting glass and you you can use the tweezers to pull the glass out
