Basically, you don't need permission to shoot. However, be sure to observe good manners by not crossing the yellow line, not leaning against the fence, and not disturbing other visitors.

If you want to ride the E3 Series Shinkansen, do it soon! JR East is starting to phase them out and this time in 2025, the only E3 based train set left will be the E926 _East-i_ train set used for track analysis.
