I appreciate the kind words and support. I hope to ramp up the amount of videos I post this year so more to come.

I had a chicken before the egg situation in building what was in my head, I figured it out based on this and your other 2 relief vids, thank you Jason.

There is a pretty good group on Facebook called Carveco users group. Some good info there as well if you are on FB.

Great video! Thank you! Got a question, I 'm ready to carve out a catchall tray for valentines day. My carveco model is set to go to gsender. I'm using 3 bits, a 1/4" straight, a 60 degree vbit and a 3/4" bowl bit. I don't have a probe tool. I use the paper method for x,y and z. So if I use a 1/2" wide vbit 1/2" wide, just bring it up to the side of the workpiece on the x and y sides, then divide 1/2" by 2 (1/4" and subtract that to the measurement to get the x and y zero, yes?

You only need to set x and y when probing from the start and as long as you do not turn off the machine it will keep this position so the only thing you have to reprobe is z axis for each bit. I would just touch them all off somewhere on the waste material so they are starting at the same height.

Jason, could we use merge high and merge low to somehow have multiple z-slices for a tall relief that we want to glue together with multiple jobs? That might be an interesting future video. Thanks for sharing this. Nice job as always.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking here for z slices and glue together. If you are talking about Marquetry where you stack pieces to make a final art piece I have never done anything like that and would not know where to start there. Thanks for the feedback and the comments.

Can this be done when you import a relief from the top menu? When I do I get a box to make my changes. I’d like to do it this way. Can I put a relief in carveco library? Thank you
@Timberfalls10 ай бұрын
Yes it can. Once you import the relief the first time from the top menu then save your .art file in your Documents/Carveco/Reliefs/.. pick a folder or create one here.
