Love it...seems like the easiest way to make wood finish. Am going to try this for faux wood beams. Thanks

Looks AWESOME! I'd love to try and make some of these and redo my ceiling with them--imagine how cool that would look AND the insulation it would add to my home!!

@@davevredeveld221 (here I am back after 4 years!!) ... I appreciate that you shared what you learned... Do you have any updates on this video? Would you do anything different? The reason I'm back... is because I'm getting ready to move back to Albuquerque, New Mexico and RE-Open my Acting Studio and instead of making my usual WOOD Sign... I'm leaning forward to using Foam... Thank you again for sharing this great video.

Very Nice..Question. I'm going to try and make faux beams with 2" foam boards. I plan to make it 3 sided but I thought it would be easier to make the knots and grain before gluing them together. I did want to put notches on the corners as well. You mentioned using the heat gun does harden the foam. Would you recommend after making the knots, grain and then glue it together, make the notches then use the heat gun on it? thx in advance

@@FrightInFalcon thanks for sharing... Exactly what kind of paint did you use?
@jershaus5 жыл бұрын
1. Use a grout sponge!

great work, job well done. Do you use any kind of hard cover for your foam props? There are many to chose from on the market and i know bart from a haunters life make his own mixture up himself. I just recently got into foaming so im crossing that bridge to find the perfect hard cover for my foam props.

Twisted Dreams Thanks for watching. I didn't use any hardner, although the heatgun process does harden the heated surface quite a bit.

Let me know when you find a hard cover that you would recommend.
