We had the Rexton RX5......and I can confirm that till now even after we have Xuv 700 .... rexton was the bestttttt at everything.....ahead of its timee🥰🥰🥰

Alturas G4 was the best car and certainly better than Fortuner and Endeavour but it sanked because of poor marketing and branding strategy of Mahindra. Had Mahindra done the marketing and branding of Alturas G4 same as they are doing for XUV700, XUV500 and Scorpio N, definitely this vehicle would have outperformed their rivals for sure. Mahindra dealerships are also quite arrogant and headache kind of affairs. I have been in Alturas sometimes and I must say, It is a BEAST!!!..... Fortuner, Endavour bilkul stand nhin krti iske aage in terms of quality. Further if Indian car maker want to carve out a niche for themselves in global market, if they want to compete with Audi, BMW, VW etc., then they will have to make vehicles like Alturas G4, i.e. high-end vehicles. 10-15 Lakhs range is suitable for Indian market but beyond that, very few people prefer Indian cars. As you said, if a person is paying 25-30 lakhs, he/she will go for VW, Toyota, BMW etc., not for Tata or Mahindra (this is human psychology). So if Tata and Mahindra want to become like that, they will have to invest in proper SUV like Alturas G4, with good branding and marketing strategy o.w. even excellent vehicles like Alturas will sink. Also, they should organise some tutorial classes for their dealerships.🤣🤣🤣

How one can justify the Purchase, When the after sales and the service center certify you a Qutiya and even accuse you about how you can't drive your own car, But credit should be given to Mahindra that they went away with this accusation that, they're accusing their premium consumers as if they got scammed and then certifying them as qutiya by accusing the consumer as Noobie, If this would've happened in EU aur US even Australia then that company would be paying the damages and the whole amount back to the consumer then the Company would be the real qutiya by accusing the consumer for their shitty quality and their shoddy building materials and then selling as a premium vehicle,

😄 It implies that people consider brand value as a first priority. Even today itself fortuner doesn't have worth buying thing but his engine distinct him from the crowd. However rexton ssangyong manifest that he was best at all those things what you searching for a full size suv. But couldn't compete with him. I would say Mahindra has now all those experience which they have learnt from privious failure. It is the best time to vandalise the supremacy of fortuner in the launching of next gen Alturus. The tidy GD-I engine might be strangle the fortuner ( you know people now took the mahindra suv to world tour. Hence proven. Source : indian backpacker )

toyota made brand value globally, they just did not reach to top by fluke. they make reliable cars. take 15yr old fortune versus another similar SUV u will see they are more comfortable. even 10 yr old xuv500 safari are struggling rattling rusted poor condition, but Fortuner still looks good on road. cars like endeavour could not beat fortuner.

My father has Alturus G4, believe me fortuner , gloster of any other car of same segment are nowhere closer to what Alturus G4 has, this car we bought in 2016 or maybe around the same time, ye car apne time se bahut aage thi, aaj bhi when we plan to go for a vacation or trip we prefer Alturus, we do have harrier as well but Alturus has a different pleasure of sitting styling and class.its a huge car and I can say this that when I say HUGE i actually mean it, cuz Sunday ko while cleaning my car I've to clean Alturus as well 😂, I can was 2 harrier in the amount of time this G4 takes to clean 😂😂😂😂😂😂

In India people or buyers are not confident to go with or imagine Indian brands like others eg.costly vehicles like toyota fortuner or rivals and gadgets eg. apple, samsung or rivals. Indian brand like Mahindra, Force & Tata can manufacture fortuner, endeavor rivals but will not manufacture those brands because they know that people will not go beyond creta, seltos, astor or their 7 seater. with Indian brands same thing with mobile we can't imagine lava mobile with the quality and price like the flagship phones like samsung and apple and even they launch it we don't even dare to buy one.☝

Mahindra and tata must make completely new car companies with new logo and service centers just for the high-end car segments. They cannot compete against foreign brand. Brands like tata and Mahindra are known for their affordable cars. And rich people will never buy a tata at price of Mahindra. Sadly this is reality which Indian brands will have to suffer until they actually turn into a global powerhouse and become the best in the world.

I Disagree. Hyundai and Kia joined too late to the game compared to Mahindra and tata. They too used to make cheap cars and look where they are now... their latest cars are bangers. What indian companies lacked was innovation. Look how long it took for tata and Mahindra to make cars that are presentable for foreign market. Globalisation never was their priority... They got too comfy with the sales in domestic market and their other businesses and got left behind. Things are changing though.

Plus in tally of the biggest company in india 1st is Suzuki at 39.53% market share(coz ofc) 2nd is hyndai at 15.6% market share 3rd is Tata at 13.11% market share 4th is Mahindra at 10.68% market share 5th is Kia at 6.40% market share While Tata Mahindra are 2 different companies hyndai is parent company of Kia and all Kia cars use the same engine and parts as hyndai dropping cost by a lot. Hence more funds for focusing on design and features. Plus it's literally recent that these brands have started making some good looking cars with features. But the difference is you have 0 safety in hyndai Kia cars and they are over priced. While hyndai had joint Ventures with companies like ford for their first car, they hired British engineers to design their bodies and got Mitsubishi's drive train to put it all on. Same thing with Kia they literally made copies of Fiat Peugeot Mazda and Ford cars Where as compared to tata which used to develop trucks with Daimler but made their first car all by themselves tata has never ever had any joint venture with any foreign brand for personal vehicles instead went on to acquire foreign brands rather than letting themselves get acquired Same for Mahindra who started off making commercial vehicle like Jeep and tractor but then acquired other companies to get into personal car buisness. Due to this reasons they lacked the advantage hyndai and Kia got by being a manufacturer for foreign brands. There were many geopolitical and internal politics too because of which tata Mahindra could never truly get outsiders help. Neither did foreign brands wanted to support Indian industry ever nor did our great licence raj congress govt. Neither could Indian brands grow in india properly nor in outside world. On top of all that Indians love self hate. Which Koreans don't. Koreans have an aggressive nationalist feeling because of which they have always preferred Korean brands. They didn't let European American brands get in their market and not at allll the Japanese who they hate so much. Where as Indians look for excuse to reject their own homegrown cars for foreign brands. To the point were even after providing all the features + safety at a lesser price Indians want foreign brands. People love to say Indian car brands are not good well then how have you helped them?
