this looks like a great system. Next amp will be this one

This would go great with my Digitech RP1000. Pure, clean sound with tone controls so that you can fine tune the tone for any room without reprogramming the Digitech. I've been around a few Carvin products over the years. Fine American built sound reinforcement at the best prices. You guys never disappoint.

You may want to hurry before they sell out Carvin is going out of business.and is liquidating all of the assets.

Definitely thinking about getting one of these, since it would cover a lot of the things I do from solo to band work on voice and different instruments. I still have one of the original AG100s with no digital effects, but it has been a work horse for many gigs since 1997 for guitar, keys, bass and vocals. Just used the AG100 on a gig several days ago for synthesizer guitar with my normal band. I just want this new AG300 for the dual digital effects, three way speakers, and detachable AC cord, ha. The original AG100 has a fixed AC cord, but it has not been a problem, per se.

I have had the AG300 for about six years now since my post above, and it is a great amp. I kept my original AG100 also. Together they can move some serious air. I recommend add a 15" or 18" cab for a little more low end on bass gigs (likely 8 ohms minimum, check the manual for your particular model. The original AG100 adds an external cab in series as I recall, versus parallel for the AG300). I have used these for voice, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keys and music playback at a fair amount of gigs over 25 years. The original AG100 actually has a little more punch than the AG300, being a direct firing 12". However, the AG300 has more features, for sure. One of my bandmates has a Carvin AG100D and that is a great amp too. He saw my original AG100 in action and bought the newer AG100D in the green tolex.

Are they still making these?

The original AG100 doesn't have the later digital effects of the AG100D, but I have used it with keys and guitar synths a lot, which have their own effects built in, so it is still a worthy contender.
