Nice, I get it -whittling is one of the only ways I can really wind down.just an idea and not a know it all comment ....a sharpened stick used like a hand drill would make a nice burnish in the holes :)

Great job, and a pleasure to watch. I'm sixty-three, and I never have liked Swiss Army knives, primarily, I think, because of that silly corkscrew. But watching this video makes me wish I had one. You made that look like the best tool in the world. I'd love to see more carving videos.

James Ritchie there's a swiss army knife called the hiker, it's the same thing except the corkscrew is replaced by a screw driver! I too thought the corkscrew was silly so I purchased the hiker and I'm very satisfied

Carving a spoon from start to finish would be awesome to see. Use the tools that you normally would use though, because I have been wanting to try carving spoons for a long time and I think seeing how you do it would motivate me to get into that kind of thing.
