How old does it fit? Is it true to size or is it a little bigger for room underneath?

A really cool & useful vid, Black Owl ! Many thanks. All that's missing now is the Darth Vader voicebox.! 😂😂 No, but seriously, in serious cold, that is a lifesaver.! 🖖

Going to buy a 64" bow, figure 35#. Noticed your arrow is abuot 3" past the bow. The "experienced" shooters seem to say about 1" is optimal but to each his own. Your opinion on arrow length? Thanks, great video!

In earlier wars, every soldier was given wool blankets. look at vintage films of civil war even world war 1, you will see soldiers wearing whole blankets. Great job.

I am now getting back into bushcraft after what seems like forever. You did an excellent job on the pouch. I now understand the difference between veg tanned & wax/oil.

I bought this bag a long time ago and haven’t used it. I count this as sort of an instruction manual. Thanks. It’ll work for what I want, but understand its limitations. Wish you were still making vids. Hope things are going well.

If there was to be a strong wind, your way of securing your tarp would not last.

Why did you tie your prusik knots to the tarp? Using a toggle would be much better, allowing for a quick release.

Why is your channel called black owl outdoors, yet your logo shows a penguin? (except in the comment section?)

The can will burn out eventually. So what I did, I put a lot of J-B weld on the outside of the can. little less than 2/3 thick around the whole can... And don't burn wet or sappy wood in a can.

this is the older model Scout stove the newer ones have three non-movable steel prongs instead of the movable pieces you see on this one. Much simpler and a good improvement.

Take your rusted files place them into a glass or plastic bottle. Then cover them with white vinegar and leave them for 72 hours. Your files will come out clean and resharpened

The last tie failure illustrates my only real complaint with knot: though it is very easy to tie, it can be tricky to finish properly. It can take a few attempts. Consider using an orange paracord or something similar for the videos. It was tough to see knot detail in a few shots.

This thread is old and dead, but I finally found another trilite stool again on ebay after all these years. It's light, it's compact, simple to unfold, and the best butt-rest when waiting for a train when commuting on NJ Transit and NYC.

Silky Saws are intended for Green Wood. They are a Tree Surgeon Saw. Dry Hard Wood is a different matter. You can't judge the Saws overall performance by using it for something not intended.
