Nice and a little different. Anxious to get this guy going and think I will add additional wood to make him with a stove pipe hat. I like how you continue to stop and illustrate what you have done as well as go through your markings PLU you don’t seem to be rushing the video. The ring is from my days as a football official. I was selected to officiate an All Star game and that gig came with a nice banquet and a platinum ring.

Hi Brad, Some carvers get free cutoffs from the local Home Depot or Lowes. The cutoffs are scraps from other pieces of lumber. You might also look at Gene Messer’s carvings. He often cuts a little piece of tree limbs to use as a base.
