Nice job. I never thought of using a stone to sand a carving. I'll have to try it. Beautiful dog, by the way.

Thank you! Using the stone is called burnishing. Learned it from other carvers on KZbin. Tried it and I liked the result so been doing it since.

@@frozen_toes_ak I've never seen the stone method either. my normal method for burnishing is to just flip the knife over and use the spine to burnish, but I can see how that would fall short in the recessed area of the spoon. I'll also be giving it a try.

Helló,a legtöbb fa faj kemény fa,de faragása alkalmasak között megtalálható a nyírfa, diófa, hársfa, platán fa, juharfa, cseresznyefa, szilvafa. Még vannak a parkokban megtalálható dísz fák is,én a faragásaimhoz a legtöbbet magam gyűjtöm be,de van amit webáruházból rendeltem. Ja és mindig tanul az ember,a fáról, faragó technikáról és tőled is 😉.

Nice! We mostly have birch and alder here. Lots of spruce trees but not good for carving utensils.
