Carving the Gnomebilly

Simple project of carving a mini Gnomebilly from an 1”x1”x2-1/2” block of basswood. I use two tools to carve this little figure, “V” tool and a knife.

That is a really tough question to answer. Some people I have taught, they get it right away, others have to practice at it awhile before it clicks for them. Don’t give up, you will get there.

What mini gouges are you using

I used the Dockyard brand micro gouges. I also use OCC Tools micro gouges but did not use them on this carving.
