Thank you for sharing. I learned something new today. I learned that I don't have to give up carving because my thumbs don't quite work that well anymore. carve deeper 59 I used to make furniture in a full woodshop. An accident slowed me way down. Recently I bought my first Dremel tool. I am trying to combine past work skills with arts and crafts that I am somewhat familiar with from my childhood. Thanks, I learned a lot about carving a face from this video. I am thinking about carving my favorite picture instead of just drawing or painting it. I wanted to do it in my woodshop, That option is now gone. This video has given me a new way of looking at my own woodworking. I consider myself a true beginner at carving. I just have a lot of experience in woodworking. I know that softwoods are easier to work with for carving, I am interested in doing something in hardwoods. guess I will just have to subscribe to your channel and check out your old videos. Thanks

Carve deeper 13. I actually do own the 4000 and just decided to started do wood carving. Your video actually answered one of the questions I had about the type of bit you used .. I currently have just the basic type, I can definitely see the benefit of the more aggressive bit.

I do a lot of carving but not with tools like you use just knives. Knives I make myself from old saws and things. I always wanted to learn the art of making these bearded faces but never knew where to start so thanks for putting this video out. I have seen faces like this carved into standing live trees and this is where I want to go with it. They look so cool after the tree heals around them.

Started watching you last year, Jordy. I’m on my 5th power carving. Each one was getting gradually better to the point that a friend of my wife wanted to buy the 5th one. Lol. Just finished watching the video and wanted to add that even though you are not celebrating Christmas, still hope you have a good day. Sorry about your cat, and even more about your mom. Lost my father 25 years ago, so I know the feeling. Life goes on, right? My mother hit 90 on the 11th of this month, and she is one of the last of her generation alive in my family, she has two cousins still around. For me it was my grannie Fitzgerald, my mother's mother that was the family glue. When she passed the different elements drifted apart. After that we no longer had large family get togethers for Christmas and other holidays. It's like losing the connection to your family's past.

Instead of wrapping my fingers with tape. I cut up a neoprene beer coozie to make finger covers. It’s nice and squishy soft and you can slide them on and off quickly if you need to do some else. Easy and reusable. Thanks for all your help!
