Now I need a wood burner. I Shou Sugi Ban my last one with my weed torch , just to see how it looked afterwards with just a clear finish. It was good but plain. Definitely like the wood burning better.

You could hold the ready rod in a vise grips and hacksaw a short slot in the end. Install the swivel in the slot, and use a hammer to squish the sides together, maybe with a screwdriver or chisel on small rod like this. Hope that helps someone! Three cheers for Jordy! Hip, hip, hooray! Peace!

A very easy, very fast to assemble, very strong, and inexpensive alternative to drilling a hole in your all thread (ready rod), which very much weakens the all thread, is to use an eye bolt with the same thread size as the all thread, and a coupling nut. Put a few drops of blue LockTite on the threads before screwing everything together, and it will never come apart. The eye bolt also gives you a MUCH stronger hook to hang your spinner from.

Use what is called a oupler instead of the drill hole. I use 1\4 inch by about 1 ICU long. Obviously fits 1\4 rod.
