The link with the tools is expired :/ Also I don't understand, when I search for these tools there are some kits that look like knives and others that have some pretty wide tools
@CarvingisFun11 ай бұрын
Interesting, this may be a regional issue. I chatted with the folks from Schaaf Tools a bit about regional availability and they were currently only releasing to the US due to tool availability and logistics. I'm going to review my research on good options for other countries I did a while back and will update tools options when I get good info for you. Just another place to improve on my end.

In your opinion, would it be useful / possible to add Evee legs? Or is it too risky? I don't want to screw up my first one, which is already finished 😂

Amazing, I want to learn wood sculpting/carving and this is really cool
@CarvingisFun11 ай бұрын
Give it a shot! But before doing the Eevee project, I highly recommend doing my fox project first. This way you build some experience in the cuts and how to work with the wood before going into a bit more of a carving with more details.

Thanks!!! It is on my list to do, buuuuuut it's not going to be as simple as this one. It's gonna be a bit bigger. Thinking a 2x2x4 block of wood here.

Howdy!! I would recommend trying my fox tutorial first as it is similar in shape so you can get a feel for working with the tools first. And yes, I have been playing the pokemon games and collecting the cards since they came out!!

I love the project, but why did you skip out on the pattern sizes? I prefer having those and saving them for future use. Can you just give us the pattern like you used to please?
@CarvingisFun11 ай бұрын
Oh I will eventually, just have a new graphic artist to help me make them nice looking again and setting up a new process. It wasn't ready by the time I wanted to have the video up so I just bypassed it and planned on putting the pattern on my pattern templates page that I'm setting up this month.
@marticon66611 ай бұрын
@@CarvingisFun I thank you for that. This Evee looks too damn adorable not to make. I'm carving one right now, but I just prefer having a pattern to work from, even if I change things along the way. Like giving it a longer tail, kind of like with the fox.
