@@davidcohen2137 there will be no M1, or 1M for that matter. The entire 1-series is now based on the same FWD platform as Mini cars, and it is impossible to put anything apart from inline-4 in it. So, that being said, m135 is going to be the fastest 1-series we'll see. At leas for this generation. Additionally a real 1M got replaced when M2 was released. Unfortunately for us, car guys, BMW parted ways with its' heritage and went all-in with marketing and sales.

I believe he deliberately picked that red pre-facelift a45 without aero pack to make the new a45s stand out, plus that old a45 seems to be in really bad shape... Taking into account the condition of brake pad, tyres, condition of the car, 4.8s isn't fair at all... If he picked the facelift a45, that'd be a different story, the facelift should be able to do 4.2s, not to forget he mentioned he tested the facelift a45 in 4s dead when it came out years ago so I guess it's all about marketing. When a newer model comes out, they'll just make the old one looks as bad as possible... I know the a45s is bit faster than the old stock facelift a45 but in my opinion the old a45 sounds way better....

ive had my a 45 about 2 months now, i read lots of comments saying people find to boring on the road mainly on the ford st pages on facebook! i have to admit coming from an st i didn't think it was as fun for a few weeks then i discovered that you can drive these cars so hard and they just stick to the road like glue, thing about a car like an st you can floor it everywhere and get nowhere but with a car like this you floor it and you're in paris.... having a car this fast you must respect it tho. i often over take a few cars and find myself way up above 100mph its just suprising how fast cars can be.. that you're allowed to drive on public roads ! a45 for the win!

Hi Matt: As an owner of a black B 250 Turbo I love the new A 45s. Now the reason your head could hit the roof while in the back seat of the old A 45 is that it has a sunroof while the new A 45s you're comparing it to doesn't but if it did you'd have the same issue - not really a big deal personally I'd rather have the sunroof! I also prefer the A 45s exhaust note not as "raspy" and attention grabbing as the old one and the new interior as well but I still like the older front end it's more traditional Mercedes and "understated" which in a car like this is exactly what I'd want. I don't get any gratification from standing out in a crowd I really don't care who notices what I'm driving especially the "Police".

The 65 Plate AMG A45 and Onwards is a better comparison as that is the last predecessor to the new AMG A45s ... the interior and tech on the new one is leaps and bounds better but the previous model does sound better ... great video though ... I had a 65 Plate AMG A45 and she was stock ... after running her in for 1,200 miles and only running her on V-Power+ ... i took her to a rolling road and she was 398.6 BHP and i did a timed 0-62 and it was 3.5 seconds ... I will cant wait to test drive the new one !!

Guys the Pre-Facelift A45 does have 355 BHP / 360 PS. To everybody saying it has 367 BHP/372PS or 367PS/362BHP in the comments section it doesn't have that FFS 🤯.

Matt you didn't use launch control in the RS3. You held the stability to "off" - This isn't launch control. Launch control is by having stability pressed briefly to "Sport" position. As an owner I know the car regularly beats that time in the rain...

that launch with the RS3 was horrible. The car was rolling before it took off. There have been numerous people who have obtained 0-62 in 3.7.38 seconds

My 2018 RS3 (not fully broken in yet) has done 0-62 in 3.79 so far (0-60 in around 3.6?) , on normal tarmac. The worst it has ever done is 3.95, so there's something wrong with the one in this video. Unless the 2019 is that much slower, but I doubt it. The Mercedes and the RS3 will probably be quite evenly matched in a 1/4 mile race.

In the old A45, you have done 0 to 60 in 4.0 secs before, meaning that the new car is only 0.1 sec faster. Also, merc quote that it does 4.2 sec on the old model, so you probably had a bad launch
