My buddy has an a 2015 S63 Coupe AMG, bought it certified 2 years ago, purchased a warrantee extension as well. Good thing as it only has 35,000 miles but the dealer has spent about $3 grand on it fixing incidental stuff. So yea, if one does not recognize the premium COO that comes with the fun, so sorry.

I was given the keys to a m850 xdrive 2022 while my M4 is in BMW service and I have to say, it's an amazing driving car but you can really feel the weight. It doesn't know if it wants to be a sports car or just a GT car but still the twin turbo V8 is a insanely smooth.

The 911 was a GTS; it produces more horsepower than the SL (480hp for the GTS vs 469hp for the SL 55) _and_ weighs less than the SL. Therefore, the result was to be expected!

Holy mother of God! The Jag is conceptionally anywhere from 6 to 10 years older than the other cars here and still always comes in at least second if not first. And it's probably the cheapest option, too. It certainly is the prettiest option. Looks like the German manufacturers have blown this.

They're total sleepers to all the people who've never run into one. I got my hands on a low-mile '16 AWD R about a year ago. I love taking it for rips on the back-roads and highways. It only really turns heads once you get on it and people realize it's no joke in both acceleration and one of the baddest stock exhaust notes on the planet.

Unfortunately you can't really go anywhere in it because it's got no storage space whatsoever. The already tiny boot is mostly taken up with the roof mechanism. Guess you can put a small backpack in it.

@David Ensinger The SL63 is better matched to these cars in terms of performance, that's the trim level they should've used. Car & Driver posted these #'s: 60 mph: 3.0 sec (3.1 sec by MotorTrend) 1/4-Mile: 11.2 sec @ 125 mph (11.3 @ 124mph by MotorTrend) As you can see SL63 better suited for this match-up. Porsches are known for being notoriously quick so definitely would've been a gr8 deciding factor between the two. Probably would come down to which driver gets a better start off the line

@george081982 haha yeah they would blow it away. Complete facts! They both also have over 600hp, BMW w/what 617hp and 640hp from the Turbo S. That's why I mentioned hp wise the SL63 fits better with these models compared in this video w/o going to the top tier big dogs. Mercedes-AMG currently doesn't have anything to compete in that category unless maybe you consider the Mercedes-AMG GT63 or GT63 E-Performance but those are 4 door fastbacks not a cabriolet. Maybe we have to wait until the new generation AMG GT 2 Dr and see what engine they stick that with 🤷🏾‍♂️

@@alstound They're not. Mine ( 2018 F-Type SVR convertible) Dyno'd from the factory at 602 BHP. They're underrated and brilliant. Mine also gets ~29 mpg in normal driving (Hour north of Montreal to Toronto on 1 tank of fuel). If I do get it mapped and tuned, you can add another 80 hp to that, but I'll lose my fuel economy. And by the way: It sounds Glorious.

Are you serious? This is the full blown type R. Top of the line for jaguar, while the others are with lesser models. It has 100 more hp than all the rest. And it still got destroyed pretty much. How is that impressive? It's literally anti-impressive - it's humiliating! They tried to bias the race in favor of the BRIISH, but still failed miserably. It does sound good though. I'll give you that.

@@sashoxxx ​ because please stop reading PR booklets only. The 850i engine was measured many times at the dyno at 570-580hp, the 3.0 gts engine is also way above a 500hp mark as well as the Amg 4.0 engine - so power-wise these cars are pretty much identical .

@@sashoxxx That F-Type R is not the top of the Jag line. That is reserved for the SVR @ 575 hp. The regular F-Type R has 550 hp. Also, the 2017 Jag WON the first race, and tied the second, only losing to the Porsche on the last race. The Jag also placed second on both rolling races, and won the braking test. I think "destroyed" is definitely not the word you should use in this case, especially considering it's a 5 year older car and held up just fine against much newer rivals. Were you even watching the same races ? Also, they didn't favor the Jag, as it's "pole position" was the furthest away from the camera, where they put the cars they expect to be last.

Old one has 722.6 5g-tronic slow as your grandma transmission. Strong as an ox though, but doesn't stand a chance to the newer stuff. It will be entertaining for sure.

I picked up a 2017 F-Type R l, which is the last year before they neutered the exhaust before it hits 3500rpm. it’s fast as hell and at least here in america, it’s rare and get a decent amount of attention. great cars for a great value

They didn’t neuter it much, I had a 2014 V8 S (rowdy in the best way) and then upgraded to 2017 AWD R (same as the 2014) now I have a 2019 R, because I wanted the LED headlights but not the facelift car, and while it does have less pops the exhaust sounds exactly the same …..and to be honest, I’ve come to like the more subtle 1-2 pops on overrun instead of the full on machine gun firing squad of the old one, which was fun at first ….then became a little obnoxious and artificial over time.

@@jameswillard1 I’m looking to get one of those myself. Do you know until which year the exhaust was still exciting? My understanding was that 2017-2019 is the best choice, since 2020 exhaust shouldn’t be fun anymore

@@marnoi8754 not sure about 2020? But the 2019 sounds absolutely as aggressive as my 14/17 sounded minus the never ending pops. Don’t get me wrong it still crackles and pops but not for 2 minutes every time you lift off the gas like a BMW with a burble tune. Now that I’ve lived with it I don’t think I could deal with the earlier cars artificial sound effects

Your vids are always hillarious. Figured the Mecedes would be last as they are getting crappier every year but was surprised at the Jag. The superchargers usually take a bit to kick up but it got off the line pretty well.
