Crazy to think the h2r (one of the fastest bikes ever made) with 300+ hp does a 9.9s quarter mile, and then the motogp bike does it in 8.6s. The difference is insane
@Arcticun
@Arcticun 11 ай бұрын
The fastest stock production bike quarter mile was a 2012 ZX14R, doing 9.47 seconds @ 152mph. With slicks on and a good rider, a lot of production bikes can get into the 8's without any power added. As long as you're on a stock swingarm, your quarter mile time is limited by simple physics generally.

Dani Pedrosa is a Moto GP legend. His bike had a weight advantage but the all-wheel drive of the car is hard to beat in a drag race. I would have liked to see the Hayabusa with a drag tire on it. @@chawaswildadventures3503brother the Rimac is the fastest car ever built, it's got double the power of the Bugatti Veyron. Yet this MotoGP bike (which is designed for circuit racing) could keep up on an UNPREPPED surface. That's astonishing.

That GP bike is crazy. I was about to write ‘we know there’s nothing that can beat the Nevera, no matter how many wheels’ and this was crazy close. I can’t imagine going that fast on a bike. Props to Dani 👏 I fell from a bike once at a quarter of their speeds and that was enough for me. Crazy machines. Biggest performance leap since the Mclaren F1 came around

Yet, it still got a lot of juice to put out if they would mapped it to it's full power & torque. But they wouldn't do that just for a show. After all it's for cars not for bikes. They are just being there to give us reference. Not to win it all because this isn't a Gp. Dani was really glad to experience driving that Nevera. It's good to see him in the show everytime his free to drive with Matt, Yanni & Sam everytime they have multiple car to test. ☝️

@@Nichaansama of course, it would irrelevant to do that. You know even in some races in MotoGP they don't maximize their power output. They don't need to use it just to make up time or get the victory. It all depends on the track layout & the bike balance. They just put the necessary power that needed to get the perfect lap as possible. Cars also do the same but lesser. F1 cars often don't deccellerate much when they are going through the corners. No wonder they have got the speed machine on the track. Like when Gp riders test the F1 car, fist thing they observe is the braking which is very different to what they are used to.. In bikes even in MotoGP their latest break still considered early in terms of F1 cars. Also, if MotoGP bike used to put their gear back to first when doing quite deep corners while in F1 4th gear is enough.
