@@a_single_white_female Well, that's not the case unless you are a 1.50 m "tall" person and you have to jump up into monsters like this. I'm 1.87 m tall and I struggle every time I get into any sedan (I have to bend over and do contortion). However, no problems at all when getting into any SUV: I don't have to "climb up / jump up" nor to "bend over" into any of them, as the access position is totally natural. That's *MY* case. But vehicles (cars, motorbikes, bicycles, etc) must be chosen like clothes: depending on your body size and tallness, for proper comfort you have to choose the right ones for you and not just the ones you like visually. I love the design of ultra-sport cars, but I'll never buy one as I can barely access into any of them because they are so low that, in addition to doing extreme contortion, I almost have to squat to get in. Not that much into sedans, but I still have to struggle to get in, unless they are tall enough (Mercedes S Class, Rolls Royce, etc) and even in such case they are still not as comfortable as SUVs. The most comfortable vehicles to access (in *MY* case) are SUVs without any doubt. But they don't need to be monsters! Greetings from Europe. 🇪🇺

As Teen, when I fell in love with cars it wasn't long before I began to appreciate luxurious cars, because they had so much more to offer that the common car. Some cars like jaguars were great value for money if you treated them gently. If you wanted a tough car and not so refined you bought a Mercedes Benz. But cars like Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jaguars were leaders and mentors in the motor industry but today they are struggling to even follow the better more dependable cheaper cars on the market. Gadgets, BHP, V12's, V8's Carbon Fibre etc etc etc... and especially big Brand names which sell more on fashion than good artistic original style, and yes good practical value for money, just don't impress me. At least Matt points out some of the ridiculous and useless tempting features many of the modern cars have. For cheap practical family value for money what happened to the Station Wagon. For good luxurious value for money cars, what happened to cars like Jaguar who gave you unique curvaceous cars that had interiors that could somewhat rival a Rolls, yet were much cheaper and more of a drivers car. Yes jaguars were faster than most but that was when we could go faster. All cars today are much faster and many are super fast but we are not allowed to go fast anymore. So where is the value for money if you take away the brand name and the fact that your car can go faster than you mates or neighbours car what do you really have. As Jay Leno would say when trying to explain this senario "You either get it or you don't. So 20% do but 80% don't get it and that's why so many modern cars today look the same (Inside and outside) because that's the limited message the buyer sends to the car maker, who then gives us what we ask for be it fine German engineering and or big brand names that are sprinkled with gadgets and will give the buyer cheap but expensive quick status. You and me too. When I was quite young my Father brought home a Rolls Royce Catalogue detailing all the different models. It’s ironic, my Father did not drive. Well I devoured this Catalogue and was introduced to levels of luxury and style and names like Mulliner Park Ward to name but a few. This experience never left me and now in my senior years it has been ignited by the Cullinan. In 1971 I saw the early Range Rover at the London Motor Show and was hooked. Unlike the Rolls Royce this was priced at a level that didn’t resemble a telephone number and eventually, many years later I bought a second hand Sport L 320 which I have owned for 4 years. This vehicle has been very kind to me and I have rewarded Her with Love, Care and Attention. I could go on but thanks for your post ...
