i wouldn't be so sure. if they had beaten the time of the gtr black series, they would have posted the time already... it is significantly heavy and has about the same acceleration as a mclaren 720s, even though they have 300hp more and a hybrid system. it's a disappointment in my book (for now)

5:05 .. although 0-200 may not sound relevant, especially in reality. It’s not like you’ll be doing 200km/h every time you take your car out so 0-100 times sound more relevant or so to say. But for these high performance cars & what they are, I feel like manufactures should start focusing more on how quick their cars can get to 200km/h rather than 100. I mean what’s a performance car lately? Hard to justify those expensive ones & why they cost as much as they do. Rarity, status, quality and all that aside.. a lot of cars these days can do 3 secs 0-100. For a performance car, & especially a high end one, they should start focusing more on 0-200km/h times.. whilst we’re still there that Rimac is truly remarkable. 5.2 secs & you’re doing 200?? Insane.

@@bjornar9026 Rightfully so, I get that. This car has a more track focused approach to it or so to say. But I’m just referring to the manufacturers making these high performance cars overall. Stats matter, at least to some extent. Could potentially be the selling point honestly for some manufacturers. I’m just tryna justify how the 0-100 times are becoming less irrelevant these days, respectively of course. In terms of acceleration, instead of bragging about 0-100 times, it should be 0-200 times. We’re almost at the peak of how fast cars can get to 100 if we’re being honest, at least when considering the tires, science & overall what’s possible w the current advancements. With the position we’re currently at, 2 seconds or slightly less perhaps is the limit, at least that’s how I see it. Thus, 0-200 times should matter more! Rimac has obviously set the bar for now @5.2secs. Only question for now at least is who can better that, cause they’re aren’t going to be bettering the 0-100 times anytime soon now are they? But agin you never know, anything’s possible in this crazy world.

No way an average person can afford a Mercedes AMG One. Just the maintenance cost is $859k a year. I guess an average person will get a 2024 Tesla Model S performance for $80K. Model S has almost less than $1K maintenance cost a year and can do 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds at any time and at every time while being quiet and being accepted by the society. The best part is, that speed always stays constant for the entire life of that model S car. Which is around 300K to 500k miles.

I would find the camera for that atrocity that passes for a mirror and put a piece of tape over it. They're not practical in real world situations. Instead of the mirror flipper for the rear view mirror. It turns the whole mirror into a screen, which your eyes then have to focus on, instead of focusing on the reflected object in the distance behind you. At the speeds this car is capable of, that time lost focusing your eyes is downright dangerous.
