They're all winners in my eyes. When McLaren says 765hp, they mean that as a bare minimum, it's likely more than 800. The Porsche is half a gen behind, but their drivetrains are so capable that it's worth an extra 50hp with a bonus of phenomenal traction. And that Ferrari is a base spec vs two track spec cars yet it didn't exactly embarass itself.

Some things to think about: both the 765LT and the GT2RS have huge amounts of aero (and thus drag), so their performance against the F8 has to be well-respected. But, as much as I love all three cars, it has to be the F8 for me personally. The 765LT and GT2RS are heavily compromised vehicles. Both are exceptional around a track and offer better pure driver experiences - but the F8 costs less than either of them and manages to keep up well considering it maintains daily driveability. You wouldn't hate yourself after 2 hours of driving down British roads in the F8 unlike the other 2 cars, and yet it will still perform the way that you want it to when you decide to have a bit of fun. It just about loses to 2 of the most extreme vehicles produced by 2 very reputable and competent car brands - but will just about beat everything else. It's so well-rounded and lacks any serious flaws, that is something that you just have to applaud Ferrari for. The only complaint with the F8 would be its aluminium chasis - but the fact that it is still able to compete with the best of the best despite its almost ancient platform just inspires even more awe. Best CAR in modern times - by far.

I don't know if the driver didn't do it justice or what; But the 765LT can easily run sub 10 down a 1/4 mile; 10.1 seconds was a little bit too much.

But yet I guess if you dont count the 991.2 as a being a diffrent generation then your correct. But the 991.2 was so much more than just a face lift. It was a whole new range of engines. As much of a change as the 992 id say.

The 765’s gearbox is at least as good however in normal mode they have programmed it to change slowly/gently. In normal mode it’s not actually about the quality of the gearbox but the programming. If you want to compare timings they need to be put in their most aggressive modes.

hmmm, i would say exactly the opposite: they are insanly easy to drive and it is the only car i drove that was able to handle that much power in all ranges with just 2WD: from low to high speed. But you need to warm up the tires, thats for sure.

Weird… according to magazine tests the f8 tributo is faster than the gt2rs on a straight line, especially in a rolling race, since the v8 has less turbolag than the b6. Yet the Porsche bested it here. I don’t know… a gt2rs shouldn’t be able to keep up with a 765lt in a rolling race. Something is off. Generally on Carwow Ferrari tend to record their worst times (there are magazines that managed to run a 10.2s 1/4 mile on a f8, on a not prepped surface, 10.6s is really bad compared to other tests), while Porsches tend to record their best times (the 992 Turbo S runs mostly 10.3/10.4s 1/4 miles on most magazine tests, yet here at carwow it did 10.1s). The SF90 consistently run between 9.4 and 9.6s everywhere and yet here on carwow it run 10s (its worst time ever). I mean… I do have a feeling that Carwow tends to portray Ferrari in a bad light while Porsches are always tested to best of their abilities. I hope I’m wrong though
