Toyota deserves soo much respect for the dedication to make the greatest version of the car they can and also being honest about it.I mean relocating the battery to the boot for weight distribution shows how obsessive they are.And every element is there for a reason. No fake vents, exhaust tips and such and even the third exhaust is there for a reason.Huge props to Toyota.

It's not the only car that does this. Even if it is a three cylinder 1.6l, the engine were never design to prioritize the fuel efficiency. It's literally design to be powerful in a compact size engine. I did read an article about how a gasoline engine would have the maximum power while being fuel efficient if each cylinder isn't exceeding 0.5l. Any bigger than that is likely for power/performance reason.

German cars are also very cheap in Japan. A Golf VIII GTI costs just €32,000 (£27,000) there. In Germany, it costs upwards of €40,000, even though the car is built in Wolfsburg, Germany. The same thing happens when German cars are exported to the USA. A BMW 3 Series made in Germany is much cheaper in the USA than in Germany, even though all the transport costs are added on. Before you guys in the UK get the GR Corolla, we should get the GR Yaris in the States. Honda and Toyota say Americans don't buy 2 door sports cars anymore but fact is we buy TONS of Mazda MX-5s and toyobaru 86/BRZs. I know tons of people who would've bought GR Yarises but knowing how our dealerships are, they would've tacked on a $15k Mark up, barely sold any because of that and called it a failure. (Stares in Focus RS, which was only available for a couple years) Yes, the FORD focus RS, ya know, an American car, was only sold here for a couple years due to poor sales thanks to that treatment.

Much prefer these turbo 3’s to a 4. So much character, love the noise

Very nice. Am CarWow and you are watching Mat Watson all the way from Nairobi Kenya. Will it last like the Toyotas of old? Very Hi-Tech this one
