The Honda doesn't come with 220bhp. It comes with 220ps. There are several units used to describe the power output pf a car, ps(Japan), hp(USA and the majority of the world), kw (Australia), and bhp (UK). You can look up the conversion between them, but 220bhp is incorrect, it's 220ps.

From google, 1hp=.9864bhp, and 1ps=.98632hp. I think even google is confused. Anyway, 220ps is about 217hp, and the Honda's power was measured at the wheels after the modifications. So, really, we need to compare apples to apples. How much power did it make when it came from the factory at the wheels and how much does it make now at the wheels. In the US, the DC5s were overrated and they had to rerate them. They came down 9hp. Therefore, my theory, its not 220ps, not 217hp, it's 208hp after the rerating... but at the wheels, the equivalent US car made 175whp (power at the wheels), so I'm guessing 183whp... and now, as he stated it makes "922 brake horsepower." How much is that at the wheels??? He probably meant that the read out on the machine he drove his car onto and tested it, read out 922. 922? Is that the same machine that would give a read out of 183 when the car from the factory? Who knows. Would you say that a 183 factory readout is 220ps, AND therefore a readout of 922 is now 1000ps? If both are true, AND the losses from the rating to the wheels as a percentage loss always stays the same, then actually its 1100ps. So, yeah, 1000hp is 922 at the wheels... but is it at the wheels? Maybe the machine already converted it for you. Who knows

@Nordlicht05 Here where? Do they remove the engine and run it on an engine dyno? If not, then it is power at the tires, where the rubber meets the machine... then there is incorrectly done fudge factors because just the weight of the tires can vary by 10lbs each, and by centrifcal forces can vary the power by 20hp... and again, that's just the tires. Raw numbers are what are needed so that raw numbers can be compared. Who cares what power the engine is making, except for advertising purposes... and I stated what power they make at the wheels. This is exactly my argument. You have to compare apples to apples or what the heck are you talking about... and thus, I am actually backing up carwow by saying that yeah 922hp is 1000hp

@@copperkeyracing6167 Germany. You can read out the wheel power but no one is interested in that. They do roll out in the gear where the measuring took place and than remove the measured resistance to get the engine power. I know several tests with cars that got pretty good numbers like the manufacturer said with this kind of measurement. Iam not interested if this is bhp or ps or something minimal different 😆

@Nordlicht05 what? They remove the engine, but it's still attached to the gear box? How do they accomplish measuring the engine output if it's still attached to the gear box? Do they put a sandwich plate in between? Sounds like a lot of trouble to put the gear box back on if they already removed it to put the sandwich plate. Just measure the power output at the crankshaft, by bolting the measuring device (aka engine dyno) to it directly

Technically NOT the same as a Civic. They used this car to base the North American 2006 Civic Si on. Some of the technical knowledge tricked down to the Civic about 4 years after this Integra debuted. These cars use a traditional throttle cable where as Civics by 2006 use an electronic throttle.
