Although I did do well on the mathematics exam, I wouldn't recommend that anyone take these tests without preparing for them. From my experience, they are all more difficult than the high school level, but that's to be expected because they are all college level exams. In my opinion, I think it is wise for one to purchase the CASA study guides because they are very thoroughly designed and extremely informative.

This was a great math workout. I took the Casas math test yesterday. I scored a 250 on it which is Adult Secondary Education grade level. It 38 word . All word problems. It took me approximately 1 minute per problem and the test coordinator said I was allowed 75 minutes

Same here (I failed EVERYTHING that had to do with math in school). In college, I sat down and kept writing the same problems over and over again. This helped me learn the concepts once I came across them.

I’m dyslexic period I lose site of the problem because of reading the paragraph n thinking of other stuff then I try remembering the numbers and when I write the numbers down i write a 9 instead of an 8 or 3 thinking it was a 7 all those numbers and reading overwhelms me lol I’m dyslexic I have to work around things n figure out what works best for me n I over complicate trying to find short cuts which I normally do but the headaches being dyslexic is terrible.

I think number 2 should be 360 yards 150 + 150 and then 30 + 30 for the sides equals 360 yards I don't get how it's 395 yards

The 2 ends are half circles with diameter 30. The circumference of a circle = diameter * pi. So each half circle has half that amount since they are both half a circle. There are 2 half circles with the same diameter so the curved lines adds up to the circumference of one circle with diameter 30. Circumference = diameter * pi = 30 * pi = 30 * 3.14 = 94.2 Each half circle is half that amount, 47.1 Add the lengths together ~ 395

For question 1 How do you get the 1.5 for the 50%? I understand the other 1.5 which is his overtime

@@Mom-entswithJas When you multiply 12 by 1 you get $12 which is the normal pay. When you multiply 12 by .5 you get $6 which is half the normal pay. So if you put these together you get $18 which is the overtime pay rate of 1.5.

the regular payment is $12*8 (hours)=$96, the over time payment for 1 hour is 12+(50%of$12) wish is $12+6=$18 and he made 1.5 hour over time wish is $18*1.5=$27, total =$96+$27=$123

The first man did not make no $123 for that day he’s required to take a lunch. So that time in a half he got is capoot, so in that 8 and a half hour day he made roughly $102 and after takes that’s about 75.. soo definitely didn’t make no $123

Depends on what test center you use. The test coordinator provided a calculator for me to use. You just can't use your own devices. No phones, backpacks or hand bags allowed in the test area.

if looking for perimeter you add all the sides given. and in Q2 one side was 150 yards the teacher assumed the other side was 150 to make 300 yards but in the semi side which was 30, she did not multiply by 2 meaning the other semi was 30. how so i thought the answer was 360 yards. trying to understand!

on question number 2 i was having trouble understanding why when dealing with the circle she only multiplied one side i kept coming out with 150+150+90+90......but i think i get it now you just count the circle as 1 whole thing??? i hate math i just want to weld without taking these stupid test ha (i know welding requires math...somewhat)

30 multiplied by π = 90 Note: pi-written as the Greek letter for p, or π-is the ratio of the circumference of any circle to the diameter of that circle. Regardless of the circle's size, this ratio will always equal pi. In decimal form, the value of pi is approximately 3.14. To keep it simple, the example in the video uses the value of 3 for π vs. 3.14.

Casas or casa math is same test

NO , CASA exam is for people who want to become a teacher and CASAS exam is for people who want to enter a technical program in college. The questions are similar but I think CASA exam is harder that CASAS.

It’s simple she uses the formula c = ^(pie)d here ^(pie)= 3.14) so if you do diameter that’s is 30 into 3.14 (multiply) that’s is ^(pie)so it will be 94.2 . Then she added 150 +150 that’s 300 so if you put altogether it will be 394.2 . So in question it’s is asked ‘closely measure ‘that’s way answer is 395 yards . I hope I may able to help you 😊

Question #9 is poorly worded. The student doesn't know which length of time you are asking for: the whole trip, or the part that remains after the first ten miles. Fortunately no right answer is given for the second interpretation, and so the student can infer that the question refers to the length of the entire trip, for which there is a right answer. But that's just luck.

I'm hung up on this... What is a PEMDAS? I learned BEDMAS (which at least sounds like an existing measurement of the properties of an object (a bed's mass).
