CASA Jump: Paratrooper Point of View

It's been about 35 years since the first Casa 212 landed at Pope AFB/Ft Bragg. They were trying to interest us in buying them. The plane landed full of Spanish beer. If I remember correctly we weren't allowed to buy foreign aircraft at that time. After many jumps we deemed it useable and somehow got the first one. Not sure but it may have been the Golden Knights that got that one. Great aircraft to jump from. Think I may still have a 'Gimme" hat from Casa somewhere. One of my fun Army memories.
