At time 6:11 in the video, I thought the equation should be Vx=[ i_x - g_m2 * (-i_x * r_o1 ) ]* r_o2 + i_x * r_o1 it seems to me that in your top most equation at timestamp 6:11 you have a plus sign instead of a minus sign before g_m2. Is this an error?

When performing small signal analysis, shouldnt Vgs2 = 0 so Id2 is zero (because Vgs2 is a DC voltage source)?

at 11:56 ,sir while doing nodal analysis ,why we have written vds2/ro2 it should be (vds2-vgs1)/ro2, because source of 2nd mosfet is not at ground at all.

It is actually io = gm2*vgs2 + (vds2 / ro2). But here Vds2 = Vgs2. (you can see it 11:56). Thats why Vgs2 / ro2 is written. Basically a current through ro2 is the voltage drop across it (Vds2) divided by ro2. And here since Vds2 = Vgs2, so its been written as Vgs2/ro2. I hope, it will clear your doubt.

If ac source is at the bottom transistor, what will happen if you keep Vgs2=0 and do the small-signal analysis?

I think you are talking about small-signal analysis right ?? If vgs2 = 0 then the second MOSFET can be replaced by its output impedance. Ro2 and Ro1 will be in parallel.

Shouldn't there be minus sign in the intrinsic gain of the cascode amplifier ?

Yes, there will be a minus sign. But in the video if you observe, then only magnitude of intrinsic gain |Ao| is represented. That's why there is no negative sign.

Why we have to ground the output voltage to find eqivalent Gm?

Just consider the entire circuit as a two-port network. The transconductance Gm is the ratio of output current to the input voltage. If you recall the two-port network lectures then it is Y-parameter. I2/V1 when V2 = 0. That's why while finding Gm, output was grounded. I hope, it will clear your doubt.
