I owe the 'Moira Anderson Foundation' a wealth of gratitude. The organisation offers a wide range of support to children & also adult survivors of CA. I was so anxious & afraid, I struggled to get through the door but the staff/volunteers were amazing. I was gently guided inside with words of encouragement & the feeling of safety & being cared for. I'm so glad of this upload for reminding me of the amazing support I received. A wee donation from my Christmas money is a perfect way to say "Thanks again & I haven't forgotten what you done for me

Similar to you I live near. I can’t believe how well Casefile has covered this. I’ve never linked the Moira Anderson Foundation to this case which is absurd now that I think of it. I also remember a grave being exhumed in a Coatbridge cemetery in 2013 with the police hoping to find Moria’s remains. There was lots of hope that this would solve this once and for all, unfortunately it didn’t.

@jeanette Hinds I think what most people mean is that it is a subject that is more openly discussed these days not that it happens more. Parents and police are less dismissive of reports from kids, and predators are less protected.

Excellent post! I have had direct dealings with freemasons - you would not believe what goes on in the fraternity! Nor would you believe what they get away with! Poor child - I hope she is resting in peace, alongside her grieving parents. Sandra - what a woman! I am certain the offender/murderer is not resting in peace. Kudos to the honourable police who pursue Moira's case.

It's so weird how attitudes to this sort of thing have changed just in the last 20-30 years. Back in the 70,s and 80,s you told a adult something like this was happening to you and they told you to shut up nowadays they'd go straight to the police!( hopefully!)

The first thing that struck me as strange....something I wouldn't do as a mother is let my other child go to and from school for lunch just 2 weeks after my other daughter was missing. I would be on tenterhooks and paranoid something bad would happen to the 2nd child - which it did. She was groped by a paedophile pretending he wanted to look under the hood of his broken down car!!!! It's so easy to convince a child even if her sister was recently missing, she is too young to be on guard for sicko who obviously lurked around where she walked alone.
