Hypometric saccades are saccades that fail to reach intended target Hypermetric saccades are saccades that overshoot the target.

The limited Hx implied by the title of the case suggests the possiblity of paraneoplastic cerebellar syndrome. Hypermetric saccades in this case suggest oculomotor vermis- fastigial nucleus system involvement. The corrective post saccadic drifts seen in this video are basically driven by flocculus para flocculus complex ( which optimizes or better say matches the pulse- step signals responsible for accurate eye position within the orbit relative to the visual target)

Sorry to sound foolish, but despite being an experienced family physician, I find it hard to know what exactly I'm looking at. It may have been useful to actually explain what specifically we looking at at which point and what the significance of it is.

Even tho I’m just an uneducated man child with no life I think they’re point out of it (the eye) darts to the bottom and to the side but doesn’t get there all the way and then slows down after it tries to reposition and correct to the place it was supposed to go in the first place. So it drifts to the correct spot. This would be hypo I think if I’m not mistaken cuz it didn’t make it all the way and not hyper where it’s over extended and then have to correct itself by going back. This is not doing that.

i think this is a case of Gaze evoked nystagmus on attempt to look to the left which is most probably a sign of cerebellar dysfunction .
