I come across this just by chance. Watched the case file then read the comments. It amazes me how negative folks are without really knowing a person. I do know that Allen lived in the neighborhood maybe 90 days. No telling who he met as the new neighbor, no telling who he invited into his house, no telling who invited him out to drink at the local bar/bars or who he may have been introduce to at the bar through a new neighbor. Being from Illinois and like most young adults, in your down/or free time you go out to night clubs/bars. This was not out of the norm for him. He was a people person and would talk to you, no matter what your status in life. It's sad that he died a violent death after working with youth on non-violent campaigns that summer. It may have pick the wrong neighborhood to move in to and his social agenda was totally different then those around him. Just in somebody's way.

I went to school with Allen/ “lucky” (nickname he had) he went to kishwaukee college (green cap n gown pic w/his ear rings in that says “lucky”) bro was like everyone else trying to make ends meet and make it. He wasn’t squeaky clean, he had a few hustles...BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY HE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER. That happened with time. As he got older he changed and matured a lot! Sad to see someone you knew/use to hang with heavy in college no longer here. He is missed My favorite line from this guy was “we finna glass jaw this dude Jo” lol 😂 Rest in paradise bro!!

Grown man doing well n living right. Someone saw him at that bar n followed him. I wouldnt wanna have a.vehicle that resembled a drug dealer because that unknowingly makes you a target. I dont know about the mistaken identity. Whoever killed him went back to his home n emptied it,I dont think anybody who accidentally killed the wrong person would go that far n risk getting caught. This could just be people who saw he was successful, saw him at the bar n followed n killed him...my heart goes out to his mom,OMG I would not be able to go on if something happened to my son.......shannon b

I wonder if Allen had been at the casinos? About two years ago a woman that works with my wife lost her husband. He was at the Portage Casino, won $5,000 and someone followed him back to Illinois, then shot and robbed him in his own driveway.

Its funny how he arrived at the hospital at 3:37 am but they called the detective to say he died during surgery at 7:40am I am aware that surgery can take hours and people can flatline during the process and complications occur but they probably gave up.
