This is senseless and ridiculous with savage people committing heinous crimes. The person(s) responsible need to be brought to justice. Too many innocent lives were affected here due to sensless violence. Can't we all just get along?

Such a sad story being a mother of 2 boys I can’t imagine the pain but this is also why I always want to know where my boys are and having them in the house at a reasonable hour. I think at 16 you shouldn’t be out at 3am

Amen honey but being a mother of sons as well no matter how close u watch em u just never can control what their doin 24/7...both of mine were 18 & 17 when they went off to diff states for college..one playin basketball & the other playin football ..they would have scrimmage games where they had to travel a few hours away from their school & bcuz they had full class schedules & practices the only time they were able to go to the gym or have study groups with teammates was late at night & they would always go to the local dinner afterwards...I never aloud that when they were living at home & was real uneasy when they would call me & tell me about being out that late...esp being in 2 diff states one 8 hrs away & the other 15 hrs away frm home...i swear i stayed on my knees the whole 4yrs they were n college...cuz n the world we live in now...u just never know what can happen...& unfortunately raising young black men in this racial climate adds even more fear cuz u not only have to worry about random crimes...u gotta worry about them being racially profiled by some of the bad police...it makes me sick. God Bless all the parents out here also dealing with that fear...praying for all our babies safety & that this fam gets justice. 💛

What gets me, is what a 16 year old doing out at night? These parents need to make sure their children in the home and safe from the streets. So sorry that happen. But Chicago is know for drive by shooting! I would never let my children go anywhere by themselves in that city! I would move because you may as well call that place dead man walking! May the family find justice and peace🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Idk how old you are, but your comment is so f'n easy to say I can make sho my kids are in the house before I go to bed anything after that I don't have any control over that & if a 16yr old is determined to do something trust & believe they're going to do it one way or another. 1 was once 16 & now I'm a mother of teenagers and soon to be teenager's it's rough

I don't think his parents let him leave freely at 3am did you watch the whole segment or did you post your comment before the whole segment was over?

My condolences... What angers my soul is that people are quick to pull out phones then add it on social media for the world to see not thinking about the victims family and how it would affect... Society has become desensitized to violence and that scares me...

Ok so he got caught up in his friends mess. The friend asked him to come with him to meet someone at 3 am. I assume the friend was scared and took him. Can the friends phone records be searched?

The problem with this bullshit "no snitching" culture is that people are more afraid of the snitch label & the thugs committing these crimes more than they fear God & their own salvation from not doing the right thing & speaking up for these victims & families...cuz i truly believe they will pay the price just as much as the person pulling the trigger. Smh.

This is bull crap. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the cops should have subpoena the cell phone records of the young man who solicited him to join the ride. Or, maybe it does....
