It's so interesting to see a sub-soil ripper again; I remember them being popular when I farmed back in 1992, and they helped with drainage. This is why I wanted to work in agriculture, implement manufacturing, and design.

I had a 7 shank 38in spacing just like that one . I had the berm tuckers behind the shank . Makes a huge difference. Berm tuckers are what make that machine. Couldn't tell where it ran until you tried to spray in the spring . Sprayer would sink knee deep. . But when conditions were good id notill behind it

Really enjoy watching your videos, the way you guys farm is the way it should be done , keep up the good work. Hopefully the price of cotton will go up, people now days don’t realize how much work goes into farming , especially cotton farming.

You need about 4 more shanks before it will work that tractor! We run an 8 shank like that on our 8R 410. It works great.

We change over 5 years ago to Case I/H and we love our new equipment. We have a awesome dealer that they are there when we need them. That makes it so much easier on us cause they don’t hesitate to come out on weekends. Not saying JD don’t make good equipment but we see they are much easier to work on and we haven’t had a bad break down yet. I equipment is 5 is old and we have a harvest sugar cane all though January. It gets pretty bad sometimes harvesting sugar cane. It’s tough on our machines. But at the end of the day we love our Red machines!! Good luck buddy 🙋🏼♂️👍

All that money for a ripper and tractor to pull it and all you needed to do was take that spreader you already got and some tillage radishes with some oats and crimson clover spread then work in lightly and you will break up that compaction AND have excess nutrients for the following crop! Nice tractor and nice ripper but all you did was take your compaction layer deeper in the soil! The radishes and oats and clover will make it easier for the next crop to get through that compaction layer also.
@hendrik1636c7 ай бұрын
